Klapmuts women celebrate women's day in style.

Klapmuts women celebrated woman's day in style on Saturday 16th August 2025 at the multipurpose center. The prestigious event which started at 14h00 till late had great guest speakers who spoke about the significance of Women’s Day and the ongoing struggles faced by women in South Africa.

The audience which was blessed with great performances by local gospel sensation Courtney Dupreez and Wine-Mill$, also had an opportunity to rock the dance floor.

Great way of women's day commemoration indeed.

BREAKING: Police to investigate following discovery of 3 bodies in Muizenberg.

Police have launched an investigation following the discovery of three bodies, one male and two females, aged between 29 and 32, at Mike Place, Xakabantu in Muizenberg, Western Cape, late last night at around 23:30.

A fourth victim, a male, survived after sustaining a gunshot wound and managed to escape. The suspects fled the scene and are yet to be arrested. The motive for the attack remains unclear, and detectives are pursuing all available leads to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.

In the meantime, policing in the area has been intensified to prevent any further violence.

Stellenbosch Municipality Mayor hosts Madiba Day Awards.

Today 18th July 2025, Stellenbosch Executive Mayor Jeremy Fasser hosted the Mandela Day Heroes Awards at the Stellenbosch Town Hall –in commemoration of Madiba day.

The Executive Mayor who's also a selfless ward Councillor dilivered a great speech encouraging and thanking all heroes who bring positive change in Stellenbosch and surrounding communities.

Organizations which were in attendance or represented range from running soup kitchens, sports, arts and culture, after-school programs to empowering families through education, skills development and care, to mention a few. –All these individuals, NGOs and community groups had a strong message and that's to make each and everyday a Madiba day.

This memorable program/event which was directed by Mr Ndiphiwe Olayi, had great speakers such as the Executive Mayor Jeremy Fasser himself, Stellenbosch FC CEO Rod Benadie and the award handover was well handled by Mr Josė Cabral.

Cape Winelands FM & KDF give back to community.

Cape Winelands FM together with Klapmuts Development Forum teamed up to make a successful event at Klapmuts multipurpose on Monday June 16th 2025 in commemoration of the youth month.

Great speakers from different organizations and departments delivered great speeches with a clear message of ploughing back to the community while uplifting the youth of Klapmuts at the same time.

After the opening and welcoming which was done by ward 18 Councillor Mr JC Anthony, Mrs Anneline Crown from EMS represented health department delivering a strong message to our youth, she was followed by Mr Rodney Zimba (a manager at Klein Goederust) who represented hospitality and tourism industries at large.

Mr Morne Goliath delivered a speech informing the youth about programs the E-center offers, he was then followed by Mrs Michelle Maliqua of KDF who was followed by Mr N Mbikwana from KDF. The two who were the organizers of the event delivered a strong message that the youth should use the programs offered to them to the best of their abilities and ensure that they finish school.

Mr Losso (The chin) who's the music producer at Wildkoast Media and Entertainment gave those in attendance great advices about the music industry, encouraging them to reach out to the record label when they need help.

The event wrapped up with a mouth watering performance by local group Wine-Mills.

BREAKING NEWS: Main suspect in Olorato murder shot and killed.

The main suspect in the Olorato Mongale murder case has been shot and killed by the police. This follows after he was found by men in blue hiding at a residential complex in Amanzimtoti.

When police announced their arrival, he shot at police, police returned fire and he was fatally wounded. Lieutenant General Mkhwanazi is on scene.
