Ikwerre LGA Administrator Meets with Council Staff, Reaffirms Commitment to Workers’ Welfare
In a bid to foster open dialogue and strengthen staff-administration relations, the Sole Administrator of Ikwerre Local Government Area, Mr. Christian Isaiah Njobuawu (ACT, ACTI), on Thursday(today) held an interactive meeting with the staff of the council at the council secretariat in Isiokpo.
The meeting, which brought together both senior and junior council staff, provided a platform for workers to express their concerns and challenges ranging from salary issues, lack of adequate working materials, to other pressing welfare demands.
Addressing the staff, Mr. Njobuawu acknowledged the various issues raised and assured the workers of his administration’s unwavering commitment to improving their working conditions. He emphasized that staff welfare remains a top priority, and steps are already being taken to address the concerns.
“As a government closest to the people, we cannot succeed without a motivated workforce. I have listened to all your concerns — from salary-related matters to the need for better tools and materials. I assure you that these issues will be given prompt attention,” he said.
The Sole Administrator also encouraged the workers to remain dedicated, professional, and results-driven in the discharge of their duties, stressing that their collective efforts are key to the development and smooth running of the local government.
The meeting ended on a positive note, with staff appreciating the administrator for initiating the engagement and giving them the opportunity to speak openly.
They expressed optimism that the dialogue would mark the beginning of a more responsive and inclusive leadership style in Ikwerre LGA.
