I’ve been leaning into that moodier feel lately — the in-between tones, the quiet detail, the play between light and shadow. It feels more honest somehow.

I recently got back a whole chunk of my old work — from 2000 to 2023 — that had been stuck on a corrupted external hard drive. A proper treasure hunt through time!

Tech is fantastic... when it works in your favour. When it doesn’t? You lose work, pull out your hair, and curse to the wind. Trust me. I’ve done all three.

But I’ve finally invested in the tech tools I’ve been needing for years, and with that, recovered a whole creative archive I thought might be lost for good.

Here’s to a new, tech-savvy chapter — without (fingers crossed) any more technical difficulties.

I honestly can’t believe it’s been four years. The first two were a wild mix of feast and famine — the kind of ride that teaches you a lot about grit, faith, and showing up even when it’s hard. Then, slowly but surely, things started settling into a steady rhythm.

It really is a game of just hanging in there.

Along the way, there’ve been incredible creative highs, inspired projects, beautiful collaborations, and the kind of people that remind me why I started this in the first place.

To everyone who’s supported me, worked with me, cheered me on, or simply believed in what I do — thank you. Truly.

Here’s to the next chapter. I have a feeling it’s going to be a good one.

This little corner was captured at Arumvale in the Hermitage — one of my favourite clients to photograph, not just because of the views, but because of the feeling. There’s a stillness here that makes you want to slow down and really see things. Arumvale

We don’t read proper books enough anymore. Life’s too fast, too digital. And yet, a stack of dog-eared favourites with a plant perched on top still feels like home.

I always look at the books in people’s homes. They say so much — about what we value, what we escape to, what we dream of. It’s storytelling without even trying.

When I create content for lifestyle brands, it’s never just about aesthetics — it’s about alignment. I work with people I believe in. Brands with heart, ethics, and stories that matter.

There’s a responsibility that comes with that — to honour the craft, to translate feeling into visuals, to reflect their purpose with honesty and care.

Glassware, candles, foliage — yes, it’s beautiful. But it’s also layered with meaning. And that’s what I love most: helping bring that meaning to life.

There’s something hauntingly beautiful about abandoned farmhouses in open landscapes — stories left behind, stillness that speaks. And somehow, that’s where I’ve found my creative pulse again.

I’m proud to call the Overberg home. It reminds me daily that beauty doesn’t always shout. Sometimes, it just stands still and lets the wind do the talking.
