Times change, tastes change, and honestly, a little pop-culture upgrade never hurt anyone. Whether you’re Victorian, Gen Z, or somewhere in between, keeping up with the world keeps life interesting — and your playlists very, very fun.

This year stretched me in ways I didn’t quite expect. Growth is wonderful… and also sometimes completely overwhelming. But somewhere between the deadlines, the creative highs, the panic breaths and the “how is it only Tuesday?” moments, I learnt something important: breathe through it.

Be kind to yourself.
Be kind to the people around you.

You honestly never know what someone else is carrying, and if we’re serious about making the world a better place, I still believe it starts right there — with softness, patience, and small everyday kindnesses.

I wasn’t prepared for this, friends. These Victorian-with-a-twist images were supposed to be just a fun little side project… and now, somehow, it’s a full-blown obsession and past time.

It all started with the buildup campaign for , and now I feel like I have to say goodbye to friends and family because I just love creating these too much. It’s honestly the best way to comment on social issues, personal issues, or just poke fun at the world — all in such a lovely, visual way.

Sorry Bev, I simply can’t stop. Move over stamp collection and cooking shows… Margaux has found a new hobby.

Swellendam is in full-blown festive-season chaos, friends. All it took was a water crisis and suddenly it’s Panic!

On the Main Road — trucks delivering JoJo tanks like it’s Black Friday, bottled water flying off supermarket shelves, and the community WhatsApp groups… well, let’s just say they’ve become my daily entertainment. I’m watching the drama unfold with popcorn in hand.

But jokes aside — water is a serious topic. Let’s try to keep our cool, be kind to one another, and maybe stop flinging insults like wet swimsuits. Whether we’re in drought mode or not, saving water should be part of being decent humans on this planet.

Here’s hoping the drizzle does its bit — every drop counts.

Another moss-covered stone. And honestly… I’m not even ashamed anymore.

I’ve come to realise that between shoots, social media management, design work, and all the little creative bits I do, sometimes you just need a gap. A gap to slow down, wander, and focus on something beautifully simple. For me right now, that something is moss.

It’s quiet. It’s green. It’s perfectly unbothered — and somehow, I am too.

I honestly didn’t think last year’s fun covering the ACVV Golf Day for Swellenmark could get any better… but it absolutely did.

Driving around in a golf cart, enjoying Wimpy cheeseburgers all for a good cause, and spending time with people from all walks of life in our town — it really doesn’t get much better than this. Plus, we have the most incredible golf course in Swellendam, with unbeatable views.

I’m still dreaming of a beautiful garden — formal and carefully laid out, yet wild with fynbos. Right now, I don’t have a garden, so the longing is even stronger. But… I do have five little pots of herbs, and they make me happy.

It’s all about being thankful for what we have, even if it’s small.

Beautiful light fittings always make it onto my camera roll — I simply can’t resist, a bit like my moss obsession. I call them my lightbulb moments. There’s something about the way light transforms a space that never fails to inspire me.

The jacaranda trees are popping in lilac this year, and the view over town from Tredici is just gorgeous. Sitting outside with a coffee, you can see the little pops of lilac dotting Swellendam — it’s such a simple pleasure.
