GAUTENG MOURNS THE PASSING OF TRAFFIC POLICE CHIEF INSPECTOR SAMUEL MASHABA

BREAKING: MADLANGA COMMISSION TO OBTAIN STATEMENT FROM SERGE CABONGE

PRETORIA, GAUTENG — The Madlanga Commission of Inquiry has confirmed that it will engage with Serge Cabonge and obtain a statement from him following the emergence of voice recordings attributed to him during suspended Deputy National Police Commissioner Lieutenant-General Shadrack Sibiya’s bail hearing at the Randburg Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.

JUST IN: TWO HOME AFFAIRS OFFICIALS FACE FRAUD CHARGES OVER ALLEGED PASSPORT SYNDICATE

GERMISTON, EKURHULENI — Two Home Affairs officials, David Motsamai, 35, and Lufu Mulaudzi, 39, have appeared before the Germiston Magistrates’ Court in connection with an alleged passport fraud syndicate.

According to the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA), South African citizens’ identity details were allegedly used fraudulently, with their photographs replaced by those of foreign nationals to obtain South African passports.

BREAKING: NEWBORN BABY GIRL FOUND ALIVE IN SHOPPING BAG AFTER ALLEGED ABANDONMENT IN OAKFORD

OAKFORD, KWAZULU-NATAL — A newborn baby girl was found alive inside a shopping bag after reportedly spending approximately 20 hours in a bush in Oakford, KwaZulu-Natal, following an alleged abandonment.

According to Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA), witnesses reportedly saw a woman entering the bush at around 14:00 on Monday while carrying a Woolworths shopping bag. The sighting did not raise suspicion at the time.

At approximately 09:45 on Tuesday, a couple reportedly heard a baby crying. They followed the sound and discovered the infant inside the bag.

Paramedics transported the baby girl to a local government hospital for medical attention. Authorities were notified, while RUSA members worked to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The circumstances of the alleged abandonment remain under investigation.

BREAKING: BUSINESSMAN THAMI NDLALA GRANTED R10,000 BAIL

BREAKING: THREE SUSPECTS ARRESTED FOLLOWING KYALAMI BUSINESS BURGLARY

KYALAMI, MIDRAND — Three suspects have been arrested following a business burglary at a well-known entertainment venue in Kyalami, Midrand, during an intelligence-driven operation involving Night Guard Security and law-enforcement partners.

The operation reportedly led to the identification and seizure of a grey Volkswagen T-Cross allegedly linked to the burglary. The vehicle was reportedly fitted with false number plates.

Security teams also recovered DJ equipment believed to have been stolen from the venue, approximately 30 bottles of high-end liquor, false number plates and suspected break-in implements.

The suspects and recovered items were handed over to the relevant authorities. Investigations are continuing to determine whether the suspects may be linked to other criminal cases.

The suspects remain innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
