Suspect Apprehended with Unlicensed Fi****ms in Eldorado Park

On Friday, 1 August 2025, a 34-year-old male was arrested in Eldorado Park Extension 8 after being found in possession of two unlicensed fi****ms and several magazines loaded with live ammunition.

Members of the Tactical Response Unit (TRU) were conducting routine patrols when they noticed the suspect behaving suspiciously. As officers approached, the suspect attempted to flee but was quickly apprehended after a short pursuit.

A search of the suspect's person revealed the fi****ms and ammunition. The suspect was unable to produce licenses or provide a valid reason for carrying the weapons.

He has since been detained at Eldorado Park SAPS and is facing charges related to the illegal possession of fi****ms and ammunition. The Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department praised the TRU team for their swift and effective response.
