Bio:
GG Alcock was born in Msinga, then one of the most poverty stricken and violent parts of KwaZulu-Natal. GG’s activist parents, Neil and Creina Alcock, raised their two sons in a mud hut with no running water, electricity or modern conveniences and they grew up like young Zulu boys. Zulu reared and bred, the boys learnt the essence of how to survive in a harsh world – valuable skills that have undoubtedly contributed to GG’s success as an entrepreneur.

GG considers himself an Economic Activist, excavating the silence and opening eyes to the invisible economies of our cities, kasi’s and rural homelands. He advocates for government and formal business sector recognition, support, empowerment and consideration of the informal economy and the kasipreneurs who represent the future for our economic growth.

At about 07h15.

The R21 North was temporarily closed near Olifantsfontein Rd in the Thembisa area due to horses along the road. Services were on scene.

Djs and Businesses that uses music are obligated to have licences to use music.

South African Music Performance Rights Association (Sampra) had a session at The HangAwt 1632, Thembisa, where the CEO Mr Pfanani Lishivha together with his team, Shimza together with Shimuzic team and Local Artis and Djs engaged on licencing, discussing a win-win for recording artists, Djs and Businesses that uses music.

Sampra CEO emphasized the importance of paying licence fees.

Shimza also shared some insights as an experienced Music Business person.

A case of a missing person has been registered at Thembisa Police Station following the disappearance of the 66 year old maleJulius Khoza from Winnie Mandela, Zone 3, Thembisa 1632.

He was last seen on Thursday 4th November 2025 at Winnie Mandela, Zone 3, Thembisa and last seen wearing a peach pair of jeans, black shoes and a peach t-shirt.

Today, the Speaker of Council, Cllr Nthabiseng Tshivhenga, officiated the swearing-in ceremony of Surprise Xolani Khumalo and Gavin Monyaku Siti as ActionSA councillors.

The ceremony took place at the Office of the Speaker, OR Tambo Government Precinct, Civic Centre.

5 passengers hospitalized following a Minibus taxi accident on Brian Mazibuko Drive, near EMfihlweni Thembisa.

5 passengers were reportedly hospitalized, including a pregnant woman, following a minibus taxi (Toyota Quantum) that overturned on Brian Mazibuko Drive near EMfihlweni Section Thembisa , on Sunday evening.

According to TELTA PRO Mr Noah Moleya, it is alleged that the Quantum was carrying staff from one of the Local Business, when an alleged speeding Toyota Avanza crashed to the Quantum after failing to Stop at the Intersections then fled the scene.

The matter has been referred to Law Enforcement agencies.
