A case of a missing person has been registered at SAPS Thembisa Police Station following the disappearance of a 41 year old male Tshepo Petrus Moremi from Karoo Street, Tsenelong Extension, Thembisa 1632.

He was last seen on Monday 21 July 2025 at Tshenelong Section, Thembisa. He was last seen wearing: Orange Jacket, Black Trackpant Socks & Takkies.

MEDIA STATEMENT FROM THE SOUTH AFRICAN POLICE SERVICE (SAPS)

POLICE ARREST ANOTHER DRUG TRAFFICKER AT OR TAMBO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, SEIZE CO***NE FILLED BULLETS VALUED AT R4.2 MILLION

OR Tambo International Airport, 29 July 2025; A 25-year-old drug trafficker was arrested on arrival from São Paulo (Brazil) via Doha (Qatar) at OR Tambo International Airport on Tuesday, 29 July 2025.

Acting on intelligence, a team comprising Crime Intelligence Counter Narcotics Intel Gauteng, ORTIA SAPS Tactical Team, Border Management Authority (BMA), and private security successfully identified and intercepted the Brazilian national shortly after landing.

A search of the trafficker's luggage led police to uncover about 10kg of co***ne with an estimate value of R4.2 million.

The trafficker was also taken for a medical examination to determine whether co***ne-filled bullets were swallowed.

SAPS continues to record commendable successes in dismantling transnational drug syndicates operating between South Africa and other countries.

Through targeted intelligence-led operations, more than 25 drug traffickers were arrested since the beginning of the year at this port of entry.

A female Adult gives birth outside of the closed clinic.

A 30 year old malawian female has given birth to a healthy boy, outside Rabie Ridge Clinic, which is reportedly closed due to electricity outage.

Paramedics swiftly responded to the scene and helped the lady, whom they arrived just after she has given birth on her own.

The patient together with her boy were taken to Tembisa Hospital.

Thembisa Online managed to speak to the lady off camera, she said that she came from Cosmo City and has since called her boyfriend to come.


Thembisa Online is following up into this matter with the Department of Health.

She was last seen on Saturday (26/07/2025) at Kanana Carwash. She was last seen wearing: Brown Truckpants with Red & White T-Shirt.

SAPS POLITICAL KILLINGS TASK TEAM ARRESTS FORMER MUNICIPAL MANAGER OF UMZIMKHULU LOCAL MUNICIPALITY FOR MURDER OF SINDISO MAGAQA

The South African Police Service(SAPS) Political Killings Task Team has made another breakthrough in the Sindiso Magaqa murder case with the arrest of the former municipal manager of the Umzimkhulu Local Municipality.

The 55-year-old suspect was re-arrested today in Malvern, Durban.

He was previously arrested in 2018 alongside the late Mayor of the Umzimkhulu Local Municipality, a businessman, two former police officers and a hitman.

The hitman, Sbusiso Ncengwa was convicted to 25 years imprisonment on 07 July 2025.

The former MM is expected to appear before the Umzimkhulu Magistrate’s Court on a charge of murder on Tuesday, 29 July 2025.
