Above is a graph on the marked difference in the frequency of or**sm between cisgender men and women in heteros*xual in*******se that has been documented in research for decade
What is the Or**sm Gap?
The or**sm gap is the or**sm inequality, studies have used it to measure s*xual satisfaction among different demographics
Does the Or**sm Gap exist in different s*xualities?
The or**sm gap doesnโt just exist between heteros*xual women and men. It has been found that le***an and bis*xual women have significantly more or**sms than heteros*xual women.
A study conducted by D***x found that 20% of women said they donโt or**sm, compared to 2% of men.
Three out of four women said they canโt achieve or**sm during s*x and while 30% of men said they thought the best way to help a woman or**sm is through penetrative s*xual acts, more than half of women pointed to cl****al stimulation as a way to make them finish.
The cl****is is presented as something that people either canโt find or donโt understand
When asked to label a diagram of a v***a 58% of people couldnโt describe the function of the urethra, 47% didnโt know what the l***a was and 52% didnโt know what the va**na was.
While itโs presented as the mystical pleasure button, the cl****is was in fact the only part of the diagram that most people got right.
Over six in ten men and 55% of women didnโt know where the urethra was and 43% of women and 52% of men failed to label the l***a.
An understanding of your anatomy and the anatomy of your partner can dramatically affect your s*x life.
Knowing your own body can empower you to guide another person around it, increasing your pleasure and their confidence.
Heteros*xual women continue to be the group least likely to have an or**sm and that may be down to a lack of understanding about bodies.
