We are all artists, we all create, whether it's through painting, drawing, music, planting help, healing, or thinking, there is creativity in us all. It's what we do to support one another that makes the journey a little easier.
My mom was recently retrenched during the lockdown and to be honest, I was really surprised at how well she handled it, I mean I was still in shock when it all went down.
I remember saying to my boyfriend, Can we still go to the nursery? Or still, have a braai? "No babe, It's Zombie time, we are in Lockdown" Hahaha well ya, so that happened. Personal joke;)
Back to my mom, she calls me and tells me she's been retrenched. And to add to it no Cigs to get her through this auspicious time.
I make the mission, an hour before "curfew" to drop of cigs for her, what we have we share. So, Ashburton to Hilton, I get there expecting mom to be abit upset. ( My mom is pretty strong emotionally and doesn't crack obviously) She's hundreds, confident, standing tall, "It's gonna be all good", she says. (all 4.. ft of her)
Here we go folks, this is my mom's incredibly brave, hard-working, visionary example of what she's created.
It's mesmerizing to say the least :)
