ce No. It is a digital radio station. It targeted people from 05 to 39 years with its unique kind of broadcasting and programming. The station is formatted to play South African Music of all genres 24/7

Perfect Radio aims at improving young people in rural and urban areas, with the intent of strengthening community development through key space offerings of sport, music, events of local importance and lifestyle programming. We exist to sponsor young people who are continuously seeking to improve their lives and their communities. This radio station is their platform to showcase their talents and for them to get exposure, so they can lead successful and rewarding lives

MAYOR DAGMA MAMANYOHA MONITORS BODUPE STREET PAVING PROJECT AND SPORTS COMPLEX PROJECT IN MOKWAKWAILA

BOLOBEDU | The Greater Letaba Municipality Mayor, Cllr Dagma Mamanyoha accompanied by Speaker and EXCO members conducted project monitoring visits in Bodupe and Mokwakwaila to assess progress on key service delivery projects today, Thursday, 30 July 2026.

In Bodupe, the Mayor inspected the street paving rehabilitation project that is underway following damage caused by recent floods. The project aims to restore road access and improve mobility for residents.

The team, then proceeded to Mokwakwaila to monitor the upgrading of the sports complex. The upgrade is expected to provide better sports and recreational facilities for youth and the broader community.

Mayor Mamanyoha engaged with contractors and community members during the visits and emphasized the municipality’s commitment to quality work, accountability, and completing projects within set timeframes.

TZANEEN CORRECTIONAL CENTRE COMMEMORATES NELSON MANDELA DAY THROUGH COMMUNITY OUTREACH

BODUPE VILLAGE | Tzaneen Correctional Centre, under the leadership of the Head of Correctional Centre (HCC) Mr M.S. Mohale, commemorated Nelson Mandela Day by partnering with the Bophelo Pele Drop-in Centre in Bodupe Village on Wednesday, 29 July 2026.

The event was attended by the Tzaneen Correctional Centre Officials, Batšofe Organisation and a representative from the Rakwadu Royal Council, whose presence demonstrated a shared commitment to supporting vulnerable members of the community and strengthening partnerships that promote social development.

The programme formed part of the annual Nelson Mandela Day campaign, which encourages individuals and organisations to dedicate 67 minutes to making a meaningful difference in their communities through acts of kindness and service.

Learners from the Bophelo Pele Drop-in Centre played a role in the celebration by showcasing their talents through various entertainment activities. The programme included performances such as poetry, Sekgapa, tša manyalo, Xitsonga dance and dance performances by the boys, which was a highlight of the teachers’ creativity and confidence of the children.

The Tzaneen Correctional Centre donated groceries, clothing to the beneficiaries of the Bophelo Pele Drop-in Centre and contributed financially towards the development of the Centre’s facilities. Officials also spent quality time interacting with the children through fun filled activities, creating memorable moments and sharing in the spirit of Nelson Mandela Day.

The initiative was a reflection of the Department of Correctional Services’ commitment to giving back to the community as they promoting the values of compassion, dignity, togetherness and social responsibility inspired by the legacy of the late former President Nelson Mandela.

The officials also urged the public to continue giving in support of vulnerable children and community based organisations, emphasising that the values of generosity, service and compassion should not be limited to Nelson Mandela Day alone.

BOLOBEDU: The Limpopo Economic Development, Environment and Tourism MEC, Dr Tsh*tereke Matibe, joined Greater Tzaneen Municipality Mayor, Cllr Odas Ngobeni, law enforcement officials and health inspectors on unannounced inspections of spaza shops in Ga-Moleketla and Relela villages, Bolobedu South, outside Tzaneen, today on Thursday 30 July 2026.

The inspections form part of ongoing efforts to enforce compliance and protect consumers.

Undocumented foreign nationals were arrested, expired food items were confiscated, and non-compliant spaza shops were closed.

MEC Matibe raised concern about the level of non-compliance, particularly in rural communities, including instances where local residents lease their business premises to undocumented foreign nationals.

The inspections form part of LEDET’s broader drive to ensure that businesses operating in communities comply with applicable laws, municipal by-laws, and health and safety requirements.

MULTI-DISCIPLINARY OPERATION "RETSHEPENG" NETS 127 ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS IN VHEMBE DISTRICT

LIMPOPO: The South African Police Service in Limpopo, in collaboration with other law enforcement agencies and safety stakeholders, has intensified crime-fighting efforts through the ongoing Operation Retshepeng "Trust Us" under the banner of Operation Shanela II across all five districts of the province.

Police Spokesperson, Brigadier Hlulani Mashaba, says the multi-disciplinary operation was conducted in the Vhembe District on Thursday, 30 July 2026. Activities included stop-and-searches, roadblocks, compliance inspections, verification of undocumented foreign nationals, tracing of wanted suspects, crime prevention patrols and high-visibility policing.

The integrated operation resulted in the repatriation of 115 undocumented Zimbabwean nationals. Twelve undocumented foreign nationals - nine Ethiopians and three Ghanaians - were arrested for contravention of the Immigration Act. Three employers were also arrested for allegedly employing undocumented foreign nationals.

Police further arrested wanted suspects for various serious offences including robbery, theft, burglary, assault, possession of suspected stolen property and drug-related crimes.

Additional successes included arrests and fines for liquor-related offences, drug-related offences, illegal gambling, road traffic violations and other crimes. Police also confiscated dagga, crystal methamphetamine, more than 103 litres of liquor and nine dangerous weapons.

A total of 302 law enforcement actions were recorded during the operation.

The Acting Provincial Commissioner of Limpopo, Major General Jan Scheepers, commended all law enforcement agencies and stakeholders for their commitment.

"The successes achieved through Operation Retshepeng demonstrate our determination to combat crime, enforce the law and protect our communities. These integrated operations will continue across Limpopo to ensure criminals are brought to book and residents remain safe," said Major General Scheepers.

RECAP | Parents and learners at Makobo Secondary School have expressed their gratitude following the donation of 30 Shovakalula bicycles by MEC for Transport and Community Safety, Violet Mathye.

Learners said the bicycles will reduce the distance they walk to school and help them arrive on time and safely. Parents welcomed the intervention, saying it will ease the burden of transport and support learners to focus on their education.

The handover took place on Wednesday, 29 July 2026. MEC Mathye was joined by Acting HoD Paul Mainganyi and Cllr Maunatlala of Greater Tzaneen Municipality.

The donation forms part of the Shovakalula Bicycle Project aimed at improving scholar transport and safety for learners in rural areas.

BOLOBEDU TODAY | The MEC for Transport and Community Safety, Violet Mathye, on Wednesday, 29 July 2026 handed over a total of 85 Shovakalula bicycles to learners in Mopani.

The morning began at Pulane Secondary School in Block 05 Village where 55 bicycles were handed over to identified learners. MEC Mathye then proceeded to Makobo Secondary School in Ga Wale to deliver 30 more bicycles.

She was joined by Acting HoD Paul Mainganyi and Cllr Maunatlala of Greater Tzaneen Municipality at both events.

MEC Mathye said the Shovakalula Bicycle Project is aimed at reducing the distance learners walk, improving safety on the roads, and ensuring that learners arrive at school on time and ready to learn.

Learners who received bicycles thanked the department, saying the intervention will make their daily journey to school safer and faster.

The department continues to work with schools and communities to ensure every child has access to safe and dignified scholar transport.
