Residents in BELA-BELA town are informed of a power outage affecting the Central Business District (C*D).

The Municipality says it's technicians are on site carrying out the necessary repairs to restore the electricity supply in the area.

Further updates will be given with regard to the restoration times.

NOTICE ON ELECTRICITY OUTAGE DUE TO WEATHER

Eskom and Blouberg Local Municipality have confirmed that they are working on restoring power in several areas affected by weather.

The following ares were affected by power outages this weekend as a result of bad weather under the Blouberg area.

1. Mokhurumela,
2. Sadu,
3. Lewaneng,
4. Arrie,
5. Samson,
5. Grootpan,
6. Sias.

Estimated time of restoration has not been confirmed.

ESKOM ANNOUNCE R30.3 BILLION PROFIT FOR 2ND CONSECUTIVE YEAR

SUNNINGHILL - Dr Kgosientsho Ramokgopa, Minister of Electricity & Energy, together with Eskom Board Chairperson, Mr Mteto Nyati, Eskom GCE, Mr Dan Marokane and Eskom CFO, Mr Calib Cassim reported second consecutive profitable year as turnaround strategy strengthens operational recovery.

Dr Ramokgopa and the Eskom leadership announced a group profit after tax of R30.3 billion (2025: 14.0 billion, restated) at the power utility, during the presentation of its 2025/26 Annual Financial Results.

ELECTRICITY SUPPLY INTERRUPTION: LULEKANI, PHALABORWA

Eskom in Limpopo says it is aware of an electricity supply interruption affecting the entire Lulekani area in Phalaborwa following a storm in the early hours of this morning.

Technical teams are assessing the impact of the storm and working to restore the electricity supply as soon as possible.

At this stage, no estimated restoration time is available. Customers will be updated once more information becomes available.

PLANNED POWER OUTAGE – ELTIVILLAS

Makhado Local Municipality has informed residents of Eltivillas of a planned power outage today, 06 August 2026, from 14:00 to 18:00 to allow for essential maintenance work at the Eltivillas East Substation.

Residents are advised to treat all electrical installations as live throughout the outage period, as electricity supply may be restored without prior notice.

ESKOM RESTORING POWER AFTER THREE-WEEK OUTAGE AT KUBJANA

KUBJANA — Eskom is currently working on restoring electricity supply after residents endured three weeks without power at Kubjana.

The restoration follows growing frustration from the community, who had earlier raised concerns over the prolonged outage and demanded urgent intervention from Eskom.

Eskom teams are now on site working to restore the power supply, bringing hope to affected households.

POWER OUTAGE UPDATE | LENYENYE - LETSITELE VALLEY

Eskom Limpopo says they are currently attending to an unplanned power outage in the Letaba CNC supply area following the tripping of the Lenyenye–Letsitele Valley 11kV breaker.

Affected areas include Lephephane, Khujwana, Moime, Tlhabine and Mandlakazi.

Technical teams are on-site and working around the clock to restore electricity supply as swiftly and safely as possible.

At this stage, the estimated time of restoration (ETR) is not yet available.

Further updates will be communicated as more information becomes available.

CABLE THEFT HITS KOLOBETONA VILLAGE

MAMAILA : The community Kolobetona Village, Mabhemane section (next to Pilkington ground) has experienced cable theft earlier today.

Residents of the area have been left in complete darkness as a result.

Eskom has been informed and alerted of the situation.

VANDALISED ELECTRICITY INFRASTRUCTURE LEAVES A NUMBER OF GIYANI VILLAGES WITHOUT POWER

GIYANI-Several villages in the Giyani area have been left without electricity after power poles were allegedly cut down and conductor cables stolen by unknown suspects.

The incident reportedly happened around midnight on Wednesday, leaving communities in the dark.

Residents discovered the following morning that power poles had been cut down and cables stolen.

The affected villages include :

✅ Hlaniki
✅ Sikhunyani
✅ Bambeni
✅ Mageva
✅ Ndhamb
