POWER RESTORED AFTER DISGRUNTLED RESIDENTS BLOCK ROADS WITH BROKEN BOTTLES

Electricity has been restored after residents of Hlohlokwe and Jele villages under the Maruleng Municipality braved wet weather conditions this morning to block roads with broken bottles and debris during a protest.

The area had reportedly been without power since December, prompting frustration among residents. Eskom technicians arrived earlier today and successfully restored electricity supply.

The affected road has since been reopened, and traffic is flowing normally.
