We ALL saw that video.
You know the one.
The Ashok Leyland reversing into a Golf GTI at an Engen and the GTI basically disintegrates while the bakkie just shrugs it off like it bumped a pillow.
Naturally Thando and I took this very seriously.
So we went GTI hunting.
Purely for research purposes, obviously.
Because when you drive something built like this, you start to realise very quickly… this is not your average bakkie.
This thing is a workhorse. Solid, simple, tough and built for real work. And as you can see/hear... both the 'stick' and the 'wheel' are very big.
And yes, before anyone asks…
No GTIs were harmed in the making of this video.
Big thanks to Kent Motors for letting us take the Ashok Leyland Partner out for a little “field test.”
If you’re looking for a proper commercial bakkie that’s built to last, this one deserves a serious look.
