The aim of the campaign it is to promote women’s health by encouraging the early detection of cervical cancer.

This campaign will also provide health education,blood sugar testing, blood pressure screening to support the overall well-being of women in the community.

The Methodist Church of Southern Africa, in partnership with the Eastern Cape Department of Education and the Department of Employment and Labour hosted a Career Expo under the theme "shaping tomorrow today , through skills and development" in Mthatha today.

The event took place at the Methodist Church Hall bringing together learners from different schools within OR Tambo inland and unemployed graduates.

The core purpose of the expo was to provide learners (grade9-12) with information about study opportunities, careers and bursaries.

One of our journalists Isiphile Mbedu attended a 2-day Budget Journalist Training Workshop on 27–28 July at Gompo City. Journalists from various community radio stations across the Eastern Cape took part. The workshop focused on how to report and broadcast public budget information to communities.

This follows a previous training on how media practitioners and other civic stakeholders can explain complex budget information in simple terms.
