LIBODE- The angel, the flower and the leader of tomorrow decided to go beyond the clouds after other children made fun of the poverty of her home.

SHOPS SURROUNDED IN TSOLO - Fires were set to shops owned by foreign nationals in Tsolo town yesterday, 4 November 2026. The fire started at around 5 am. OR Tambo district fire services responded immediately, arriving at 7 am, and successfully extinguished the flames. No injuries have been reported, and damage estimates are still unknown. A call has been made regarding the case of children allegedly abused by an educator - UVuyokazi Gana (52), Deputy Principal at Sinomonde Primary School, was arrested on 15 October 2025. She faces serious charges of abuse, sexual assault of children, and kidnapping of minors in Qumbu, Ngqeleni, and Mthatha. She appeared in the Gompole Magistrate's Court today. Her case has been postponed to 2 December for further proceedings. The court has certain requirements to address before the trial begins. Her bail application was previously rejected by the High Court in Makhanda, with Judge Nicola Molony presiding. Hawks police spokesperson, W/O Ndimphiwe Mhlakuvana, stated, "There's a possibility of more suspects being added to the case." Xolelwa Pona from Masimanyane Women's Rights International said, "If the Deputy Principal is found guilty, it means the victims haven't received justice, and we want to know where the Department of Education stands on this case." Sarah Hlongwe from Sisonke National Women's Movement added, "We've tried to empower communities about such incidents, but the victims didn't want to be part of the campaign."
