We got lucky last night during Bushpig Season! 🌙🐗

One of the boars Johan Smit and the team had previously identified finally made a mistake—and Johan was ready. With a perfect setup, he made the shot count, and what followed was a moment that reminded us why we do this.

But what truly made it special was when Beulah and little Jordan joined Johan to track and recover the Bushpig under the stars, it turned a great hunt into an unforgettable memory. 📸❤️

Moments like these are what we live for—family, passion, and the wild.

During Bushpig season, the real magic happens after dark. The baits don’t just attract Bushpigs — they bring out a whole cast of nocturnal characters. From silent shadows to curious critters, it’s a nightly showcase of nature’s after-hours life.

Tonight, the spotlight was on a true night raider… the Porcupine! 🦔 It was a feast fit for a king, and he made the most of it. What’s even more fascinating is how many other animals swing by to see what’s cooking — from jackals to genets, even the occasional civet pops in for a visit.

What an epic way to end an unforgettable trip! We recently wrapped up a phenomenal few days of hunting at Damara African Safaris with the Careco TV Team, which includes Pursuit Channel "We Deliver The Outdoors", Americana Outdoors, Whitetail Diaries, and none other than Wade Middleton himself.

From start to finish, the hunting was world-class, the camaraderie unmatched, and the African bushveld delivered in every way imaginable. But it was the last afternoon session that brought the final touch of magic.

Wade was still after an Impala to round off his African experience. Together with PH Tjokkie, they spotted three rams staring in their direction. Without hesitation, Wade got onto the sticks. The moment presented itself — one clean shot rang out, and the Impala ram dropped right in his tracks.

This moment was more than just a successful hunt — it was the perfect ending to an already incredible safari. The smile on Wade’s face said it all. This was the icing on the cake that capped off our time at Damara African Safaris.

Big thanks to the entire Careco TV crew for making memories with us in Africa. We can’t wait to do it again!
