The Busy Bees children were delighted to welcome Spring with a wonderful selection of fun and educational Curricular Activities!

๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿฉ NATIONAL KOEKSISTER DAY! ๐Ÿฉ๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ

On 6th September, we celebrate and honour one of South Africaโ€™s most iconic sweet treats โ€” the delicious koeksister, with its spiced, syrup-infused sweetness and irresistible coconut coating!
Our Grade R children had a great time giving koeksisters a creative twist! They used koeksisters to decorate the hair on their paintings of a boy and girl, and even used them to decorate their chalk drawings of the sun. โ˜€๏ธ
The fun continued as the children used koeksisters to outline and create different shapes, including a square, triangle, circle, diamond and oval. ๐Ÿ”บ๐ŸŸจ๐Ÿ”ต๐Ÿ’Ž๐Ÿฅš
This was a wonderful South African way to combine learning, creativity and a little bit of delicious fun! ๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ
