HELP IS SOUGHT

An elderly citizen was found in Lakeside Proper this morning.

His name is Jerry Makharane whose residency is unknown, as he couldn't remember.

Due to sustaining leg injury, he was transported to Sebokeng hospital.

Those who might know him are requested to alert their next-of-kin.

HELP FIND AYA

Help is sought to locate 32 year-old, Ayanda Cebisile Mbatha from Orange Farm.

She has been missing since January when she returned from work in Croesus. She used to take a taxi from Orange Farm to Johannesburg then to her work in Croesus.

A missing person case has been opened with the police.

Anyone with info should report to the nearest police station or call Pastor Sindiswa Motsamai on 071 045 7995.

RAF CELEBRATES AGE OF MATURITY IN SERVICES DELIVERY

Road Accident Fund will reach out to the communities of Sebokeng and other Vaal mining towns. Through this mobile service, the RAF is able to reach far-flung communities, interacting directly with those affected by the carnage on South Africa’s country’s roads and making a difference in their lives.

Five lucky motorists will receive a baby seat, while 20 protective helmets will be donated to learners commuting by bicycles, including 40 pairs of school shoes and bag packs to deserving schools around Sebokeng as part of RAF’s Corporate Social Responsibility. This is to ensure that we uplift historically disadvantaged communities and deliver community focused solutions.

Trade & Industry Deputy Minister, Mzwandile Masina told budding entrepreneurs today at Vereeniging Civic Theatre at an Outreach Programme.

The department which brought a number of stakeholders with is also in talks with the district municipality to bring a satellite office in Sedibeng Office where companies can be registered and funding applied for.

Earlier today, a female hawker and male customer were hit by a taxi at the Vereeniging temporary taxi rank. Both persons died on the scene. It is understood that the taxi was driven by a queue marshal at the time who has since been arrest and will be charged with negligence and murder.
