"ODWA TAU" was born on February 23, 2003, in the township of Virginia, Free State Province. Initially known by his stage name "Tiger S.A," he later rebranded as _The Demon-DJ_. With a passion for hip-hop ignited at a young age, The Demon-Dj drew inspiration from American artists like Lil Wayne , Dr Dre , T-Pain and Future .
In 2015, he embarked on his professional music career, chasing his dreams of becoming a rap, producer, and DJ superstar. The following year, he collaborated with his brother's friend, Trouble Bag ( Thabiso Majoro ), at a local studio, releasing his debut song "Rabatsena" with his Friends crew, produced by the late Substance (Tholang). Despite this loss, Substance's mentorship had a lasting impact, guiding The Demon-DJ on music production, beat-making, and mastering songs.
As The Demon Dj, he fell deeply in love with music and created a bedroom studio to hone his craft. By 2018, he had developed a unique style blending hip-hop, Afro-pop, R&B, and Kwaito, drawing inspiration from IAMPH (Dj Ph). His breakthrough came in 2019 when he debuted his distinctive performance style, wearing a face balaclava, at his first gig at Basement Club In Virginia.This was followed by recognition and more performances in cities like Virginia, Hennenman, Pretoria, Bloemfontein, and beyond.
Throughout his career, The Demon-DJ has collaborated with emerging and established musicians, helping to build reputable music careers for artists like SliQ Records , The Rare Breeds , Surf and flxcko, Puleng Phoofolo , and many more. He has also shared the stage with top national artists, including 25K , DJ lovers(Lesedi Fm) Stino Le Thwenny , Kay Dance, and others.
