"I’ve stayed silent too long. My truth needs to be heard
I’m a Black person raised in a white family—adopted at a young age ,I was taught white norms, and for years, disconnected from my roots. What I learned was eye-opening: the privileges, biases, and cultural gaps many don’t acknowledge. Being white your ten steps ahead of any black child, no matter what they do.As a saying goes a black man is always a suspect
But here’s the hard part: I also saw struggles in the Black community I wasn’t taught to understand. The systemic barriers, the stereotypes, the resilience it takes to navigate a world that wasn’t built for us.
Black child your on your own no one one is coming to save you
