After 29 unforgettable seasons, the epic journey of Kayos Casting Directors has come to an end. This incredible adventure was fuelled by collaboration—our clients, artists, agents, and team all played a central role in making over 6,000 TVCs a reality. From nearly a million auditions to countless moments of creativity and connection, YOUR unwavering support brought our vision to life. Thank you to each and every one of you for showing up and helping us ‘make everyone look good’.

We’re really proud of the big things we achieved alongside the everyday work, like the Wholebangshoot and KayOscars, which celebrated talent and raised over R300,000 for charity. Building a culture, not just a company, has enriched our lives immensely and will guide us in future ventures. Thank you for the part you played in this remarkable adventure. We wish you many more years of success and happiness.

Saying goodbye to a one-in-a-million soul, our dear ex-team member, Rozzie Erasmus. She graced Kayos for over a decade, leaving an indelible mark with her sassy attitude and wonderful kindness. 💖 Today, we celebrate a woman who made every day at Kayos brighter, from her early days at the front of the house to steering the ship at Zoo.

Rozzie, you were more than a colleague; you were family. Your laughter echoed through the hallways, your spirit lifted us all. Your special energy and wonderful soul, brought a rainbow of joy to our Kayos journey.

Rest in peace, beautiful Rozzie. Your legacy lives on in the laughter, the memories, and the double rainbows that will forever remind us of your extraordinary presence. 🌈💫

We are embracing 2024 with huge gratitude and appreciation to be alive and kicking. 🚀 We are ready, set, go as a team for another swing around the sun! We are also ready to cook... inspired and invigorated by our end-year jol - this time in the Food Jam kitchen. The Kayos ninjas/wannabe masterchefs discovered cooking skills we didn't know we had. Such a lekker day and meal together. ✨

Verity, Kay's sister, dropped by the studio recently – the first-ever employee at Kayos back in '96! 🎬

Back in those days, castings involved manual work with tape-based cameras, converted to VHS, and sent off to clients via courier or airplane! (Anyone remember those times?!) Verity even once had to personally fly a casting tape to clients in Italy! The film photos snapped in the studio required speedy trips to the Waterfront for development. 📸

Innovation has always been part of the game. From fax machines to virtual auditions, we've come a long way. Along this path, Verity used The Six Thinking Hats by Edward de Bono to crowdfund her music album before recording it! 🎶

Today, she's an international Accredited Speaker and has won the Toastmasters World Championship in Public Speaking. Congratulations to 🤩

With this Nio Aries TVC, our task was to build a well-rounded diverse cast, who bring the elegance and character to represent this class of the car. They needed the undeniable on-screen charisma, and be able to instantly convey a relatable natural charm, and aspirational vibe.
