EAT BEANS WITHOUT WORRIES....

- Soak the beans for 30 - 40 minutes in warm water and add lemon squeeze. For 1kg beans, add 2 big lemons or 3 for small lemons. It helps with reducing the tummy discomfort or doing away with gasses. The chemical property that causes gasses is in the bean peal.
- Rinse out the lemon water and put to cook with fresh water + one peeled onion.
- Cook your beans adding hot water as it finishes so as not to prolong cooking process.
- Fry onions and add tumeric powder as they become golden brown. Then add tomatoes and fry until cooked.
- Add the sauce to the beans and let it simmer for 20 minutes until nicely blended. Then you're done
NOTE...that soaking it in lemon water also reduces cooking time.

Enjoy beans without worrying about gases

GBM OFFERS ACCOMMODATION TO TONSE ALLIANCE/ PF MEMBERS

Former Defence minister Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba popularly known as GBM is currently in South Africa to attend President Edgar Lungu's burial.

GBM's gesture has seen him settle all legal bills that the family will incur while in South Africa.

Mr. Mwamba has also offered to pay accommodation for all PF and Tonse Alliance members who will await the court ruling in South African courts.

His home in Johannesburg is also being used to host VIP party members such as Dr. Fred M'membe, KBF, Inonge Wina and many more.

Why Attorney General Kabesha Is Right to Halt Lungu’s Burial in South Africa
————————————————————————

1. Upholding National Law and Tradition

Attorney General Kabesha’s intervention is firmly grounded in Zambian law and tradition. The burial of a former president is not a private family affair but a matter of national significance. Zambian statutes and customs mandate that former heads of state receive full military honours and are interred in Zambia, reflecting their service and status. Allowing a private burial abroad would set a dangerous precedent, undermining national protocols and diminishing the symbolic value of the presidency.

2. Safeguarding the Public Interest

The office of the Attorney General exists to protect the public interest. In this case, the Zambian people have a legitimate stake in the final rites of their former leader. The burial of a president is a unifying national event, offering citizens an opportunity to pay respects and reflect on the country’s history. Bypassing this process for private reasons would deny the nation its right to collective mourning and closure.

3. Legal Precedent Supports the State’s Position.

Attorney General Kabesha’s application references a clear legal precedent: the burial of Zambia’s founding President, Dr. Kenneth Kaunda. In that case, the courts set aside Kaunda’s personal burial wishes, ruling instead in favour of public interest and state protocol. This establishes that, in Zambia, the public interest in honouring a former head of state supersedes individual or family preferences regarding burial arrangements.

4. Constitutional Mandate

The Attorney General is acting under Article 177(5)(c) of the Zambian Constitution, which empowers him to represent the government and safeguard the public interest. This constitutional duty obliges him to act when national customs, laws, or interests are at risk. By seeking an interim interdict, Kabesha is ensuring that due process is followed and that all disputes regarding Lungu’s final resting place are resolved according to law.

5. Preserving National Dignity and Unity

A state funeral is more than a ceremonial event, it is a demonstration of national dignity and unity. It sends a message to current and future leaders, as well as to the international community, about how Zambia honours its highest office. Permitting a private burial in a foreign country could be seen as a failure to uphold the dignity of the presidency and the unity of the nation.

In conclusion
———————
Attorney General Kabesha’s move to halt the burial of former President Lungu in South Africa is justified, lawful, and necessary. It is not only about following protocol but about affirming Zambia’s sovereignty, honouring its traditions, and protecting the public interest. Ultimately, the final resting place of a former head of state is a matter for the nation, not just the family, and must be handled with the utmost respect for law, tradition, and public sentiment.

Alas, I doubt AG Kabesha can win this case, SA courts may likely rule in favour of the family. let’s watch and see.

Who Needs Enemies When They Are Friends

Today marks exactly Two (2) years when I received a phone call from a gentleman called Mark informing me of people visiting Lusaka and intended to meeting with me and that they will call me. And indeed around 16 hrs I received a call from them requesting for a meeting with me at 18 hrs. I met with them at AMB apartments in Rhodes Park. It turned out that my guests were Two Royal Highnesses from Wilumbula Province of the Republic of Zambia, a Chief and a Senior Chief respectively.

Their Royal Highnesses informed me that they were emissaries of a president of a political party and their principal was desirous to meet with me and I responded to their message with a question as to why their principal could not reach out to me himself because he had my mobile number since we worked together closely during the alliance days. The emissaries informed me that their principal couldn't reach out directly because he didn't know what would have been my reaction since it had taken close to Two (2) without reaching out. My message to their Highnesses for their principal was that I had no objections to meet with him as long as it was in national interest. I left the meeting with them around 19 hrs and they promised to get back after consulting with their principal.

After Two days their Royal Highnesses called me and requested for a second meeting and indeed we met at Three Trees restaurant for lunch. During the meeting they informed me that their principal intended to meet with me the second week of April in Livingstone. They further informed me that I was to arrive in Livingstone a week before.

After lunch, the lady who was serving our table brought Three bottles of water on a tray and the chief who was sitting in the middle between me and the senior chief grabbed the first bottle from the tray held it with both hands. Out of respect I allowed the senior chief to get the other bottle hoping to be the last one. After the senior chief took his bottle and the lady turned to me, the chief handed me the one he was holding in his hands and proceeded to grab the remainder on the tray. I checked the bottle and it was not open and I drank the water. We parted company with their Royal Highnesses with the knowledge that our program was slated for the second week of April 2023.

After Three days of our meeting I noticed that my body strength started waning and I couldn't lift my hands, my body was losing fluid fast and all body muscles were dissolving. I tried to call their Royal Highnesses to inform them of the new developments regarding my health but they were not picking up my calls and later blocked me. April came and went no meeting took place and no call regarding the same. My health continued deteriorate with no communication from their Royal Highnesses. Towards the end of October 2023 I was admitted to Levy Mwanawasa University Teaching Hospital. Later, the government of the Republic of Zambia evacuated me to India for specialist treatment.

In India, the doctors diagnosis was that I had suffered damaged intestines, nerves and bladder and that they could not trace the cause. I returned back to Zambia at the end of August 2024 and to date I have not received any messages from either Mark or their Royal Highnesses.

My honest conclusion is that in politics you don't need enemies when your friends are there to do their bidding. I just thank my Lord for I have lived to tell my story when my friends the late Mike Mulongoti and James Lukuku couldn't.
