This week one of our students Diana Mposha from the faculty of business was featured on SoferinoVoices Via YouTube where she shared her thoughts on Cyber bulling and online hate speech.

"I have been motivated to participate in this program because I believe that peace begins with individual responsibility, including the way the way we interact and communicate online."

Mposha says, "Cyber bulling and online speech have become a serious challenge that affect the way we live, our mental health and relationships ."

In a research that she carried out on the copperbelt in Ndola, her findings concluded to the need of more awareness about the effects of Cyber bulling and online hate speech. "We need to become ambassadors of peace by promoting kindness and online tolerance." She added.

Cyber Harassment, intimidation, insults, threats, false information, hateful comments and abusive messages have a high negative impact On mental health and have sometimes lead to conflict among groups of individuals.

Mposha has since called on families, individuals, families schools, churches and government to help reduce the cases of Cyber bulling especially among young people.
