CONDOLENCE MESSAGE FROM HEART FOR ART FILMS
It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we, at Heart for Art Films, mourn the passing of our brother, colleague, and creative partner, Laston Mwelumuka, affectionately known as “The Mode.”
During his time working with Heart for Art Films on various film and poetry projects in Chililabombwe, Mr. Mode proved to be more than just a collaborator—he was a visionary, a mentor, and a passionate advocate for young talent. He shared our mission wholeheartedly and believed in the power of art to transform lives. His dedication, creativity, and unwavering passion helped shape many of the projects we proudly produced together.
Among his notable contributions, he directed the film “She’s Not a Virgin”, along with several other productions that inspired many young artists to dream bigger and work harder. Through his art, he touched hearts, empowered voices, and left an unforgettable mark on the creative community.
Heart for Art Films will greatly miss his artistic brilliance, his leadership spirit, and the warmth he brought to every set. His legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of the young talents he inspired and through the creative works he helped bring to life.
To the Mwelumuka family, we extend our deepest and most heartfelt condolences. May God grant you strength, comfort, and peace during this difficult time. We stand with you in prayer and remembrance.
