Pain and Pain management 💆🤕🥵

◾Pain is the unpleasant(uncomfortable) emotional experience that is associated with actual or potential tissue damage

◾Signs/Symptoms
mostly by client's description but it could be
🔸 burning 🥵
🔸 stinging 😖
🔸pricking (sharp)
🔸 aching 😢
🔸etc
◾Pain management(Analgesics or pain killers)
▶️mild pain =paracetamol
▶️ moderate pain = Ibuprofen
▶️severe pain = Diclofenac
▶️ after surgery =morphine or tramadol

◾but some people don't respond to the enlisted above due to prolong use hence
combination of pain killers was introduced to relieve pain such as Rufedol,ibucup,cafemol,brustain,superfen aceclofenac etc...

RESPIRATORY TRACT INFECTIONS‼️‼️

Respiratory tract infections (RTIs) are common contagious infections of the sinuses, throat, airways, or lungs, usually caused by viruses (like the cold) or bacteria. Symptoms include coughing, sore throat, congestion, fever, and fatigue. Most, especially upper tract viral infections, resolve within 1–2 weeks with rest, fluids, and symptom management.

Common Types & Causes

Upper Respiratory Infections (URIs): Affect the nose, sinuses, and throat (e.g., common cold, sinusitis, pharyngitis).

Lower Respiratory Infections (LRIs): Affect the airways and lungs (e.g., bronchitis, pneumonia).

Causes: Primarily viruses, though bacterial infections like Streptococcus pneumoniae can cause severe pneumonia.

Symptoms

Upper Tract: Runny/stuffy nose, sore throat, sneezing, headache, sinus pain.

Lower Tract: Cough (often with mucus), chest pain, shortness of breath, wheezing.

Diagnosis & Treatment

Diagnosis: Typically based on physical exam and symptoms, though doctors may use tests for severe cases (e.g., COVID-19, flu, or bacterial pneumonia).

Treatment: Most viral RTIs require no specific medicine, just symptom management (rest, hydration, throat lozenges). Antibiotics are only effective for bacterial infections, not viruses.
