Thousands of donkey pen*ses have been seized at a major airport in Lagos, Nigeria, according to a report by Associated Press in which custom officials are quoted. The shipment was bound for Hong Kong and detected due to the foul smell coming from 16 sacks that had been declared as cow male ge****ls, AP said. An investigation is now in progress. The case comes just months after Nigerian Customs Service said it intercepted twice intercepted thousands of donkey pen*ses and skins at airports. China is reportedly a key market for animal parts sourced in Africa and consumed in the belief that it boosts sexual performance.

Hello Ba Lusaka.
Today 3rd September 2022 marks exactly 1 year after my swearing in as your city Mayor. I still say thank you to the people of Lusaka. Our journey for the city together has not been easy but we are definitely getting there.
The Mayor's office is a Constitutional one. And this means the Mayor belongs to Every Resident living in that district. No matter who they are or where they come from. And this last 1 year this, has also been among the issues I wanted to make clear to everyone I am serving as their Mayor .
I really think this is one of the best Jobs because you don't choose who to serve but serve Everyone and treat them the same.
In this journey with you ba Lusaka I have Matured so much in My Political life and Civic Leadership. Be assured I wouldn't have managed without your support I thank you.
Lusaka City Council has had to undergo a lot of changes . All this is to make sure we serve you better. We do understand and know our Service Delivery has not been up to your expectation but we are doing our very best to make a lot of changes that will make this city a better place to live and work in.
Like I have always said we are trying to improve our revenue collection, and the way we collect by introducing E-payment platforms and going cashless in all our revenue collection points. Keep Lusaka clean is my heart beat. As soon as our 2 big Markets are done we shall start movements of our friends back into the Markets. Its impossible to keep clean in this situation. Every hour we generate more waste especially CBD.
But I also want to ask you ba Lusaka. What are you as an individual doing about keep Lusaka clean campaign?. Stop there! Where is your Broom? Don't Shout or speak the loudest and you don't have a Broom. Let's own this campaign together. The Change starts with you and Me.so let's do this together.
I have a lot to say but one day at a time. Love you ba Lusaka.Am at your service.
Let's Love Lusaka together 💛

Guinea's military junta is determined to go ahead with staging the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. The country's military leader, Colonel Mamady Doumbouya, has declared the event an issue of "national and priority interest." The announcement comes ahead of a two-day mission by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to assess Guinea's progress. With limited sports infrastructure and transport options, hosting Africa's largest sporting event will be no easy feat for Guinea. Doumbouya has now given fast-track access to land and said that all organizational spending "will be processed as a matter of urgency." Do you think Guinea can pull off hosting duties in 2025?

FIRST TIMERS WILL BE OBSERVED FOR A YEAR BEFORE RTSA ISSUES LICENCE

By Pesulani Mwale

The Road Transport and Safety Agency-RTSA, has noted that those who acquire a driving license for the first time will be required to be on a probationary period of one year before being issued with a regular license.

The rationale is to prevent newly licensed drivers from driving very long distances upon being licensed to drive.

The regulation is among new laws contained in the Road Traffic (Amendment) Act No. 8 of 2022 which was enacted into law on 9th August 2022 after it was assented to by the Republican President.

The new law will however only take effect after it is published in the Government Gazette.
Other new provisions include the revision of the age at which a taxi driver can obtain a Public Service Vehicle Licence from 25 to 20, after.

The Act also provides for the registration of Motor Vehicles at the Port of Entry, aimed at addressing the issue of the increase in the number of unregistered vehicles on Zambian roads.

The new law is also introducing an anniversary licensing were each vehicle will have its own annual cycle of payment of requirements such as Road Tax.

The Act also has provisions to regulate Online-car services and will also allow for Road Service Licensing of Goods Vehicles used for or in connection with trade or business and has further proposed a reduction in the number of RTSA Board of Directors from 13 to 9.
