CDF FEEDER ROADS REHABILITATION ONGOING

The rehabilitation of feeder roads by Kabwe Municipal Council under the Presidential Directive and CDF is progressing well.

Phase 1 : Clearing and gravel dumping ompleted.
Phase 2 : Grading and compacting currently underway across 29 wards.

Completed roads include: Pollen, Chiparamba, Chowa, Home Community School, Road 12, Makululu Clinic, Waya.
Ongoing: Ngugu, Kawama Hospital Road, Highridge Road.

The UPND government says good roads are key to linking communities and driving economic growth.

WATER SUPPLY PROJECTS
Access to clean and safe water remains a key priority.

Under the CDF and government projects, the following were done across all wards in Kabwe Central:
✅21 boreholes drilled*
✅11 boreholes equipped with mono pumps
✅10 boreholes solar powered*

📌Water Reticulation Systems Constructed:

1. Chindwin Barracks – 3 boreholes with 10,000L water tanks
2. Kamushanga Market – Kalonga Ward
3. Njanji Market – Njanji Ward
4. Waya Market – Waya Ward
5. Waya Community – Waya Ward
6. Magandanyama Clinic – David Ramushu Ward
7. C-Gate Primary School – Kaputula Ward

📌Rehabilitation Works:

8. Luansense Police Post + 3 Headmen’s offices – Luansense Ward
9. Kabwe Central Hospital water supply system – Luangwa Ward

CHARITY PRIMARY SCHOOL LEARNERS FORCED TO USE BUSH

Learners at Charity Primary School in Mukobeko Township have resorted to using the nearby bush and old dirty pit latrines.
This is after the school locked the new CDF-funded ablution block citing that pupils were messing up the toilets.
If learners are not allowed to use it, what was the purpose of building the ablution block?

The Kabwe Fire Brigade, under Firefighter Lyato Arnold, carried out two life-saving rescues this morning.

1. Makululu Road 13, 1-year-8-month-old Liam Nyirenda was rescued alive from a pit latrine after a neighbor heard him crying and alerted his mother.
2. Uganda Avenue, House No. 02 : A dog belonging to *Mr. Mallory Makusa was pulled out of a well safely.

Kudos to our firefighters for their swift action! 👏
Kasanda Police and community members were also on the scene.

Please keep pit latrines covered and wells fenced to protect children and animals.
