ZCCM IH BRINGS HOPE TO ELDERLY AS 101-YEAR-OLD MAMA MAGGIE GRACES DONATION HANDOVER.

By Herman Machacha

ZCCM Investments Holdings PLC has donated assorted foodstuffs to 180 elderly beneficiaries under the care of Steps for Good Works Foundation in a gesture aimed at supporting abandoned and vulnerable senior citizens.

The handover ceremony was marked by an emotional moment when 101-year-old Mama Maggie Chishimba, the oldest beneficiary under the foundation’s care, attended the event. Her presence symbolized resilience and highlighted the importance of supporting elderly people who are often neglected and living in difficult conditions.

Speaking during the event, Steps for Good Works Foundation Executive Director Reverend George Njobvu expressed gratitude to ZCCM IH for partnering with the organization in providing care and support to vulnerable senior citizens.

He said the donation would help restore hope, dignity, and happiness among elderly people facing poverty, loneliness, and abandonment and strengthen the foundation’s ongoing food assistance and social care programmes for senior citizens in the community.

Reverend Njobvu said the community members and stakeholders who attended the ceremony commended ZCCM IH for the gesture, describing it as a demonstration of compassion and humanity toward vulnerable members of society.

He indicated that the elderly beneficiaries received the donated foodstuffs with gratitude and joy, as the event underscored the growing need for continued support and care for senior citizens across the country.

KABWE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL URGES CONTRACTORS TO INTEGRATE TREE PLANTING IN THEIR PROJECTS.

By Innocent Hakalangu

Kabwe Municipal Council has commenced enforcement of Environmental Sustainability requiring all contractors under the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) to integrate tree planting into their projects.

This follows the Kabwe Municipal Council's resolution directing all successful CDF contractors to plant trees upon taking possession of project sites and ensure their care and management until project completion and handover.

The initiative forms part of the Council’s commitment to climate change mitigation and environmental sustainability.

The local authority reaffirms that tree planting is now a mandatory component of all CDF projects further urging Contractors to adhere to the directive.

This is contained in a statement issued by the Kabwe municipal council public relations department.

If Your Boyfriend Isn’t Giving You Money, How Can You Feel? Xaven Poses An Important Question

By Muzamba Siandizya

Gents, please come to the front. Ladies, for today just sit back, relax and observe what your brothers are about to say because this conversation.

If you listen closely to Xaven’s music, she says the things many ladies are scared to say out loud. The things your girlfriend may never tell you directly, but immediately discusses with her best friend after your phone call ends.

And honestly, maybe that’s why so many people relate to her music.

While appearing on the Kenny T 1 On 1 Podcast, Kenny T asked Xaven what really inspires some of her lyrics. She said she talks about the things people are afraid to say. Then she dropped a question:

“If you’re in a relationship and your boyfriend is not giving you money, how can you feel?”

Now before the gentlemen in the comments start adjusting imaginary ties and preparing long paragraphs, let’s be honest, this topic always causes confusion.

Some men believe love should be enough. Others believe if you truly love someone, supporting them financially should come naturally. Meanwhile, some ladies are reading this silently and remembering all the times they heard “let me see what I can do babe” or “I’m waiting for a ka payment”

But whether you agree with Xaven or not, one thing she does very well is start conversations people were already having privately. She simply says them loudly into a microphone.

So let’s hear from you. Can a relationship survive without financial support from a man? Or are women asking for too much these days?

Y Celeb Taught Me How To Give - Xaven

By Muzamba Siandizya

Let’s talk about Y Celeb, better known as “Super Government.” Naturally, he’s a crowd puller. When he’s in the area, it’s almost impossible not to notice him. Before he even says a word, his presence speaks first.

There’s just something about him, an aura that announces itself long before the man does. The energy shifts, people gather, cameras come out, and suddenly everyone wants to be where he is. That’s the kind of effect Y Celeb has on people.

Now, you might be wondering where this article is going but honestly, it’s almost impossible to sit down with Xaven and not ask about her close relationship with him. The two have shared moments publicly that have left fans curious for years.

The truth is, when we watch celebrities from afar or scroll through social media, it becomes easy to judge them based on the image they project. We create versions of them in our minds without ever knowing who they really are behind closed doors.

But when Xaven appeared on the Kenny T 1 On 1 Podcast, she revealed a completely different side of Y Celeb, a side many people never get to see.

According to Xaven, people are often too focused on Y Celeb’s “gangster” image that they overlook the family-oriented and generous side of him. She shared that one of the biggest lessons she has learned from him is the importance of giving.

Xaven revealed that Y Celeb taught her how to give freely to others and interestingly, she says the more she gives, the more she receives in return.

And maybe that’s what makes Y Celeb stand out beyond the music, the controversies and the street image. Behind the loud persona and superstar energy could simply be a man whose greatest influence happens quietly, through the lives he touches when the cameras are off.
