Declaration of Interest as NACOSU Vice chairperson

I, Edson Muyembe, popularly known as Edson Youth Advocate, hereby declare my interest in contesting for the position of Vice Chairperson of NACOSU.

This decision comes in light of the vacancy created after the current Vice Chairperson was appointed as Member of Parliament and can no longer continue serving in NACOSU leadership. I believe I am well positioned to deliver in this role, having previously served as Health Minister in the Mukuba University Student Union, where I earned a strong reputation for dedication and effective service to my fellow students.

Beyond my university leadership, I also contributed to national civic engagement, working under the UPND media team in Kitwe’s Chimwemwe Constituency during the past elections. These experiences have strengthened my skills in advocacy, communication, and representation, which I now wish to bring to NACOSU.

I respectfully urge that the selection process be conducted in a neutral and transparent manner, allowing all interested candidates to participate fairly, rather than relying on appointments.

Finally, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Michelo Chizombe and Lloyd Nsonga for their exemplary service to this board, which inspires me to continue building on their legacy.

Signed,
Edson Muyembe (Edson Youth Advocate)
