Gospel Artist Danny TSG Humayne Sets Sights on Nkana Parliamentary Seat

Danny Kamuchele, widely known in Zambia’s creative space as Danny TSG Humayne, is stepping into the political arena with aspirations to serve as Member of Parliament for Nkana Constituency.

Born in Ndola and now based in Kitwe, Danny’s journey reflects a blend of faith, creativity, and grassroots experience. From his early days serving in the Jesus Christ Movement, where he mentored young people and shared the Gospel, to working as a general worker at Tazama Pipelines during his gap year, his path has been shaped by both ministry and real-life community exposure.

Academically, he studied at Copperbelt University before pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Bible at Central Africa Baptist University, where his passion for servant leadership deepened. His professional growth at the same institution, rising from maintenance roles to Media Officer, speaks to a steady commitment to development and responsibility.

As a gospel artist, Danny TSG has collaborated with names like Abel Chungu Musuka, Chef 187, Chileshe Bwalya, Mag44, Tim, and Yo Maps, using music as a platform to influence culture with faith-driven values.

Now entering politics, he brings a message centered on youth empowerment, strong families, and community transformation.

As more creatives step into leadership, could this signal a shift in the kind of leaders people are willing to trust?

Danny Kamuchele Nkana MP 👏🏾

Danny TSG Humayne announces his intention to stand as Member of Parliament for Nkana, this announcement is not short of immediate reactions.

Some people were excited. Some were surprised.

And some asked the honest questions such as:

"Not even councillor, but straight to MP?"

This decision is nothing short of bold and courageous. But beyond the politics, something deeper is happening.

Nkana aspiring MP framed his announcement around faith, service, and values, speaking about:

- Community first
- Youth empowerment
- Transparency and accountability
- Unity and peace
- And leadership guided by Godly principles

In a political environment where many people have grown skeptical of leadership, that language stands out.

Some people celebrated the bold step:

"This is the time for youths… youth with a different mindset."

Others welcomed the idea of servant leadership:

"It's high time we have servant leaders in these offices."

Even fellow artists like B Flow publicly offered support.

But the conversation also raises a bigger question. What does it mean when a Christian Artist steps into politics?

Artists often influence culture long before they influence policy. Through music, they shape conversations about:

- Faith
- Morality
- Social Issues
- and the Hopes of Young People

But politics is a different arena, it demands, governance, accountability, decision-making under pressure, and representing the interests of thousands of people (and some of these interests may conflict with Christian values).

So the question is:

"Can the values they preached through music survive the realities of political power?"

History has shown that leadership grounded in faith can inspire great change. But it also shows that titles alone do not create servant leaders.

As Danny himself put it:

"More work, less talk."

Perhaps what many young people are responding to is not just the announcement.

It’s the possibility of a new leadership culture, one where faith, humility, and service are not just lyrics in a song, but principles in public office.

The real test, however, will not be in the announcement. It will be in the actions that follow.

Having lived in Kitwe-Nkana Constituency for most of my life, and having walked its schools and streets, from Kitwe Basic to Mpelembe Secondary, through Copperbelt University, and Central Africa Baptist University, I carry a deep appreciation for the people and the community that has shaped me.

With that in mind, I would like to declare my interest in standing as Member of Parliament for Nkana Constituency ahead of the August 2026 elections.

And of course, as you can see in the picture, I already have my First Lady of the constituency - "Bana Mo" ready to support the work. 🙏🏾

If entrusted with the responsibility, my focus would be on a simple but meaningful agenda for the people:

Community First: Ensuring the voices and concerns of Nkana residents are heard and represented.

Youth Empowerment: Encouraging opportunities that help young people grow, work, and contribute to society.

Transparency & Accountability: Promoting honest leadership and responsible stewardship of public resources.

Unity & Peace: Encouraging respectful dialogue and peaceful participation before, during, and after elections.

Faith & Values: Upholding Godly principles in leadership, walking in integrity, serving with humility, and seeking the blessing of the Lord in all we do.

For now, consider this a little practice for the future… after all, August 2026 is also the future, who knows! 😄... KULEPAMONA!

In a powerful moment for the Zambian music industry, Christian artist Danny TSG Humayne recently presented a Bible to the Super Government leader, Y Celeb. This public gesture took place during a gathering where Danny took the time to share words of faith and encouragement with his fellow musician.

Known for his consistent walk as a Christian, Danny TSG continues to challenge the narrative around gospel and secular interactions. The exchange highlights a significant moment where the Gospel was put at the forefront of their meeting.
