From "big brother" to fiancé.
We met through a mutual friend in 2010 but officially became friends in 2011.
I always wanted to call him my big brother because he's very close to a childhood family friend but he always rejected the position. He never wanted to be considered family. Lol.
For 7 years I pushed away whenever he tried to make his intentions known. I would shut him out but he always made a unique come back. I must admit, his consistency and persistence always got to me (in a good way). I always liked his sense of style, sharp mind, how he always put God first, his faith and intelligent talk. And he always made me laugh. He brought a different type of happy.
November 2018 he replied to my whatsapp status and that's how the love journey officially began. We caught up over lunch in December and Our first official date was at church, just before Christmas. I was his date at a red-carpet event at his church, started dating the next day and now officially engaged.
Since then it's been joy unexplainable. God has been good. And now we have one "official" to go before forever.
I believe my fiancé deserves an award for all the years of waiting and being the perfect gentleman even when I pushed him away so winning this competition would definitely be part of the award.
