Easy Chocolate Ring Doughnuts
Dipped in Chocolate Ganache & Topped With Crushed Biscuit
Using Zambia’s Pride Vitumbuwa Mix makes this so easy — everything is already in there. Just add yeast and warm milk, fry, dip, and enjoy.
Ingredients
For the doughnuts:
• Zambia’s Pride Vitumbuwa mix by National Milling Corporation Limited
• Yeast
• Warm milk
• Oil for frying
For the chocolate ganache:
• 1 cup chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
• ½ cup fresh cream
• 1 tbsp butter (optional for shine)
Method
1. In a bowl, mix Vitumbuwa mix, yeast, and warm milk to form a soft dough.
2. Cover and let it rise until doubled.
3. Roll out the dough and cut into rings.
4. Fry on medium heat until golden.
5. For the ganache, warm the cream (do not boil), pour over chocolate, let it sit for a minute, then stir until smooth. Add butter if using.
6. Dip the doughnut rings into the ganache and top with crushed biscuit.
