I know this man who is HIV positive. He couldn't explain how he got infected because according to him he practiced abstinence. His family left him, nobody communicated with him. The discrimination was so much that his siblings won't use the cup, spoon, or plate he used. What a disheartening attitude from people that were dear to him.
It was a terrible life struggling with the virus, and struggling with the rejection, and stigma attached to his health status. Man fell into gloominess; wallowed in self pity; and developed severe depression such that he was on his anti retroviral drugs and antidepressant drugs too.
It's been sometime I haven't seen him or heard from him, or of him.
I think most times people die of terminal diseases because of the emotional weight of the stigma that comes with it.
At the mention that someone is HIV positive, people avoid him/her like brimstone and hell. Struggling with their health, they also fall into the trauma of having nobody around; deadly loneliness sets in and they become timing bombs waiting to explode.
If only we could accept people struggling with extreme ailments, those medical conditions that seems ‘helpless'.
If we give them moral and emotional support, many won't quickly die. Sometimes they give up because while there's no hope in drugs, there seem to be no hope in humanity.
Can we restore our humanity?
When someone is HIV positive, it doesn't always mean they were randy and promiscuous. Someone of them got it during their first s*x. Meanwhile some of you have over 10 body counts. It could be anyone. Because they are infected doesn't necessarily mean you're morally better.
Let's stop stigmatizing them.
Love and humanity can renew their strength to stay alive, even when there's no medical cure for some of these diseases.
Let's bring back humanity

THE NEXT STEP FOR LUANSHYA..
A Wise man once said The road does not tell the traveller what is ahead. Earlier this week we officially head the news that Baluba Mine will be open after going under care and maintenance in Mid 2015 owing to positive changes in the price of Copper at the London Metal exchange LME.
It is not the first time Baluba will be reopening after a fall in prices, During The global economic Crisis of 2008 the mine closed. It is a well know Fact that Mining is the Core of Luanshya and development of the District is Largely hinged on it. We can never be sure of just when next this pendulum affair of moving from open to close and back to open the close will hit us. Moving forward Luanshya need Begin to establish more strongly in other Avenue they Create a certain future for its young population ,65% of The district population are below the age of 35 According to CSO most are unskilled and unemployment, one key area the District can look at is Technology. Currently there is no Technological hub for Country.
Today there are more smart phones in African than ever before, nearly half of the worlds population have access to a form on ICT tool, the uniques of venturing into such areas has technology is in the broadness that it bring, technological is applicable in transport, trade, communication, mining , education, Agriculture culture practically in every sector .it's more of a common denominator of all sectors. Imagine A start up based in that create a platform from Bana Mulenga in Mpatamatu to Sell her bags of Maize to Mr Patel miller in Kabwe, fictional has it might sound but the power of technology bring such to realisation. Look at How ideas of technology have reached you and i ,practical they they have become part of our daily life. When Vodafone started the mobile money in Kenya around 2011 ( an ideas from start ups in Kenya) who would have though it would be at this level year later , today it has been borrowed even in India and Afghanistan.
However for this to really take of the right set of skills, policy ,funding in this aspect the Government has to be drawn into. Policies that make Luanshya a Tech hub should be brought into the picture if the plack of mining is to be removed from the eyes of the Luanshya residents . Mining will continue to disappoint us if we do not change our religiously belief that it is the only way to Personal economic freedom , job creation and development of Luanshya .

A PIECE OF MOTIVATION ==============================
I came to luanshya four years ago. What actually brought to this town was to get a security job, but when I arrived all effort to get a job was to no avail. At first I wanted to go back to my village kamifungo but I was stopped by my brother, he asked me to have patience that he would buy me a sewing machine when he collects his salary by month end. By month end he fulfilled his promise, he bought me a sewing machine. Back in kamifungo my father is a tailor at the popularly known junction , so I learnt how to sew back then, on my first three months of working it wasn’t easy, so nearly wanted to quit but a thought crossed my mind, I thought to myself I have an edge over other tailors roaming the town of luanshya because I can speak good English, also I have lived among strangers and I know what attracts your services to them which is good communication skills and appearance, so that was how I motivated myself not to quit, and today I am so happy that I have made a lot of progress in my work and I am well known within town, mikomfwa and roan and the most part that gives me joy is that I am already saving to get myself back to school and graduate, then take my work to a higher level, I don’t want to end up as a road side tailor, there is no harm in trail. john bwalya

TODAY'S SUCCESS PIECE
When you are determined to succeed, there is
need to bear in mind that success begins with
just one idea just like a journey of a thousand
miles begins with one single step. Learn to
develop on your small ideas and value your
humble beginnings. Always be on alert and take
cover from one enemy to success called
procrastination. Procrastination is a thief of time.
Depart from the syndrome of 'I will do it later',
'There is still time', 'Better late than never', 'l will
do it tomorrow'.... So merely knowing what to do
does no good if we do not do it. When you have
a workable idea, do not procrastinate, do it now.

There was confusion at Chimsimbe village in Chief Kathumba’s area in Katete district when the plan by two men to exchange wives between two men failed after the two women rejected the moves in separate locations.
According to one of the women who confirmed the incidence to Mphangwe FM, the woman Mary Banda aged 29 years of Mtandaza area said she was disappointed when one day last week around mid-night, her 37 years old husband brought to her a man whom he said should sleep with her as he also went to sleep with the friend’s wife.
The woman who has been married to the man for over 16 years and has borne him six children with the eldest being 13 years was very annoyed with the plan and violently rejected the move.
