Court to deliver Judgement on Chikondi Banda murder case today

THE Lusaka High Court is today expected to deliver a judgement where a 24-year- old suspect Nalukui Akafekwa is accused of murdering a 10-year- old Chikondi Banda.

Akafekwa pleaded not guilty to one count of murder.

During investigations, Akafekwa confessed that he picked Chikondi from school on March 17, 2023.

However, he denied killing him stating that the day Chikondi went missing, he was in Lusaka's Garden compound, where he was visiting his wife and their daughter.

The accused further denied being the one in the footage, where the deceased was captured walking with an adult male along Great North Road in Lusaka's Emmasdale area.

More details will be availed during the course of the day as the case comes to a conclusion.
