The Secret Is in the Kissing the career type.

K.I.S.S.I.N.G — Keep It Short, Specific, Impactful, Necessary, and Goal driven.

That’s how you should communicate — in your CV, your interview answers, your emails, your LinkedIn profile.

But most people?
They write like they are auditioning for a novel.
Long stories. Empty words. Zero clarity.

You ask, “Tell me about yourself,” and they start narrating childhood dreams.
You ask, “Why should we hire you?” and they start reading their entire CV again.

Listen.
Recruiters don’t have time to decode your greatness.
You either show it fast or you lose their attention.

Be specific.
Don’t say, “I’m a hard worker.”
Say, “I managed three client accounts and increased retention by 20%.”

Be necessary.
Cut out the fluff.
If it doesn’t serve your goal — delete it.

Be goal driven.
If the job wants data skills, show numbers.
If it needs leadership, show decisions and results.

That’s how professionals get noticed.
Not by talking more but by saying what matters.

So Audit your CV, your LinkedIn, and even how you speak in interviews.
Ask yourself: Is this clear, relevant and powerful?

At Mulufields HR, we help professionals master the art of clarity, from job search strategy to interview performance.

Because in today’s market, the secret isn’t in talking more. It’s in K.I.S.S.I.N.G better.

Please Learn How to Send an Email.

Some of you are still sending emails like you’re texting your cousin.

No subject line.
No greeting.
No signature.
Just “Hi” and then silence like we’re supposed to guess what you want.

Then when someone finally replies, you respond three days later with “Seen.”
This isn’t WhatsApp.
It’s your digital first impression.

Every email you send is a reflection of your professionalism, your discipline, and your respect for the person reading it.

You can’t say “no one is replying to my job applications” when your email looks like a text to someone you drink with, no context, no structure, no attachment, just hope.

Here’s the formula:

✅ Subject line: Be clear. “Application for Marketing Assistant Role” is better than “Hey.”
✅ Greeting: Be respectful. “Good morning Ms. Banda” never hurt anyone.
✅ Message: Go straight to the point. Why are you writing? What do you need?
✅ Closing: End politely. “Looking forward to your feedback” works.
✅ Signature: Name, contact, and maybe your LinkedIn link.

Simple. Professional. Effective.

If you can write an emotional Facebook rant, you can definitely write a clean, structured email.

Ready to polish your professional communication and get noticed for the right reasons?
Work with our career coaching team — we will help you write emails that open doors not close them.

Some of you are losing opportunities not because you lack skill, but because you can’t keep quiet.

You got the internship. You got the probation.
That was your chance to build credibility.
But instead of listening, learning, and earning trust…
You got comfortable in the gossip circle.

What you don't have to forget is that gossip travels faster than your work.

You think you’re “just talking”...They think you’re unprofessional.
You think you’re being “friendly”...They see you as a risk.

No one promotes a risk.
No one trusts an intern who talks too much.
No one fights for someone who brings drama into the room.

You don’t need to be liked by everyone.
You need to be respected.
And respect is built in silence, that is through work ethic, attitude, and results.

When others talk about people, talk about projects.
When they whisper about who’s lazy, ask about deadlines.
When they compare salaries, focus on your skills.

Let your performance do the talking.
Because the same people who gossip with you today will gossip about you tomorrow.

And if you’ve already messed up, it’s not too late.
Learn the lesson. Rebuild your reputation.
We can help you do that.

At Mulufields HR we coach professionals to develop workplace credibility, build real influence, and turn short-term contracts into long-term success. Reach out to us on 0976438854 today to get personalized guidance on career discipline and growth strategy.
Your career is your name—protect it.

When Following Up After an Interview, Don’t Beg. Position Yourself.

Most people send follow-up messages that sound like apologies.
“Just checking if you made a decision…”
“Please keep me in mind…”

Even if they’ve chosen someone else, your message should make them rethink that choice.

How? By showing two things:
1️⃣ You understand their needs better than most.
2️⃣ You’ve already started thinking like part of their team.

Example:

“Thank you again for the opportunity to interview. I appreciated learning more about your expansion into regional markets — I’ve actually been mapping potential distributor networks in Zambia and Malawi for a similar project. If the chosen candidate doesn’t move forward, I’d be glad to contribute my insights or stay in touch for future openings.”

See the difference?
That’s not begging. That’s strategic positioning.

Stay visible. Stay valuable. Stay ready.

Your follow-up is your second interview. Treat it that way.

If you’re not sure what to say or how to stand out in post-interview communication — that’s where we come in.
Book a session with us. We’ll help you craft a follow-up strategy that builds credibility, not desperation and keeps you on their radar for the next opportunity.

Good evening Admin and everyone here.

I am tired of applying for jobs. Previously I had a system of dropping applications even where they have not advertised, but still it didn't help. Nowadays I am always sending emails and checking for jobs both on Go Zambia Jobs and on this platform, but still no change. I am tired of sending applications without receiving any response! So I am just from counting the number of emails I have sent this year alone. They are 126 (56 applications are in line with the course I did and 70 for other jobs). CAN IT BE A CURSE?

You can share a road but not a destination. Choose wisely.

Everyone wants to “grow together.”
Few actually do.

You can walk with people for a season, but that doesn’t mean you’re headed in the same direction.
Some people are walking to learn.
Some are walking to prove a point.
Some are just walking because they’re scared to stand still.

Don’t confuse shared motion with shared purpose.

You can start the same degree, same job, same internship — but your hunger, your habits, and your standards will decide where you end up.
Two graduates enter the same company.
One keeps learning Excel, data analysis, and presentation design.
The other keeps complaining about management.
Five years later, one’s a project manager.
The other’s still “waiting to be recognized.”

Same road.
Different destination.

Stop matching energy with people who are not moving with intention.
If you keep slowing down for those who refuse to speed up, do not be shocked when your career falls too.

Your path requires discipline, not company.
Your growth requires focus, not approval.
Your goals require alignment, not attachment.

So check your circle.
Are they walking with you — or just walking beside you?

And if you’re serious about defining your own destination join our 30 days job search challenge because the road is shared, but the results are personal
