According to the Forbes Billionaire List 2025, American hip-hop artist Jay-Z is the richest musician in the world, with an estimated net worth of US $2.5 billion💰

Jay-Z became hip-hop’s first billionaire in 2019, and since then, he has more than doubled that figure through a savvy mix of music and business.

Forbes highlights that much of his wealth comes not from music itself (which contributes only a fraction) but from entrepreneurial ventures—like his stakes in Armand de Brignac (Ace of Spades), D’USSÉ cognac, early equity in Uber, Roc Nation, real estate, and a high-value art collection.

McDonald’s is cutting prices on eight of its most popular combo meals, starting next month (in early September 2025), applying a 15% discount compared to the cost of purchasing each item separately.

The discounted pricing applies to eight popular combo meals including classics like the Big Mac, Quarter Pounder with Cheese, Chicken McNuggets, McCrispy, Egg McMuffin, and other breakfast sandwiches.

For example, a combo that normally costs $10 might now cost around $8.50

Special “Extra Value Meals” will also be introduced later this year, such as a $5 breakfast combo, an $8 Big Mac and McNuggets combo, a $5 Sausage, Egg & Cheese McGriddle meal, and a $8, 10-piece Chicken McNuggets meal starting in November.

These price reductions are part of McDonald’s broader strategy to address customer concerns about affordability — particularly after some customers complained about menu items costing more than $10 or even an $18 Big Mac combo in some places.

The promotions will continue through early 2026, with McDonald’s offering financial support to franchisees to help offset the reduced prices.

Valerie Kathryn Harper (August 22, 1939 – August 30, 2019, Aged 80) was an American actress. She began her career as a dancer on Broadway, making her debut as a replacement in the musical Li'l Abner. She is best remembered for her role as Rhoda Morgenstern on The Mary Tyler Moore Show (1970–1977) and its spinoff Rhoda (1974–1978). For her work on Mary Tyler Moore, she thrice received the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series, and later received the award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for Rhoda.

Today We Remember ! Of The Due "Ashford & Simpson" On His Death.

Nickolas Ashford (May 4, 1941 – August 22, 2011). Nick and his wife (Valerie Simpson) formed the group Ashford & Simpson, had been well known for performing and penning classic Motown hits like “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough,” “Reach Out And Touch Somebody’s Hand” by Diana Ross, and “You’re All I Need To Get By” by Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell. They also wrote Chaka Khan’s “I’m Every Woman” and became well-known with their hit, “Solid.” The couple had been married for 38 years. Ashford died on August 22, 2011 of complications from throat cancer. He was 70.

Gary Eldridge Grice (born August 22, 1966, New York City, U.S.), better known by his stage names GZA and The Genius, is an American rapper and founding member of the Wu-Tang Clan. His 1995 solo album Liquid Swords was certified gold. In 2008, he released his fifth solo studio album, Pro Tools. He developed an interest in hip-hop music after attending block parties in the early 1970s. In 2004, he appeared alongside his cousin and fellow Wu-Tang member RZA in the Jim Jarmusch film Coffee and Ci******es. He has also collaborated with such music icons as Method Man. He is widely considered to be the most talented lyricist to come out of Wu-Tang Clan. During his childhood, he began rapping with his cousins RZA and Ol' Dirty Bastard.

The poet and mother of Debbie Allen and Phylicia Rashad, Vivian Ayers Allen, has died, she was 102.

The matriarch’s passing was announced in a post on Instagram by Allen. It comes just one month after celebrating her 102nd birthday.

Allen wrote: Mommie, you have transformed into that cosmic bird Hawk that lives and breathes Freedom. We will follow your trail of golden dust and continue to climb higher. We promise “to be true, be beautiful, be Free” Love Love Love Love Love.”
