If I recall very well, the last memory I have of my mother is the last Grade 7 holiday before reporting for boarding school in Grade 8. Barely a few weeks after we put her to rest, I reported for school. She really looked forward to seeing me attain my desire to be in boarding school. Fast forward, while my friends were counting down the days to close schools and go back home to their parents, I wasn't as enthusiastic about it, knowing my mother would not receive me back from my first ever boarding experience. Make no mistake, sometimes I used to forget she was no more; I would be excited about the stories I would go back to tell her after closing schools. But then every now and then reality would hit, realizing I was not going to see her again. However, the memories of her are still fresh and treasured. I thank God for having given me the little time I spent with her. These people are indeed a gift from God. Treasure them if you have the opportunity to. Happy mother's day to all the mother's once more, with love β€οΈ
