**The Three Locations of Sin in Man and how it is dealt with**
1. **Sin in the Spirit**
Jesus dealt with the sin in our spirit by sacrificing His blood for us, washing away our guilt before God, and removing the nature that was estranged from Him. The sin nature in our spirit represented separation from God's kingdom and alienation from His truth and life, making us lawless. However, in Christ, this nature is replaced with the new nature of sonship, granting us direct access to God, unlike the indirect access through the old priesthood. *Scriptural References: Hebrews 10:19-22; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Romans 8:15-16.*
2. **Sin in the Mind**
Sin exists in the mind as old knowledge we held while still sinners. Even after being cleansed, this old knowledge doesn't automatically disappear. This is why many believers struggle, rising and falling, as the old man in the mind resists change. Through the daily intake of God's Word, we subject our minds to its transformative power, progressively aligning them with the mind of Christ. This transformation is not immediate but requires consistency, leading to freedom and grace. *Scriptural References: Romans 12:2; Ephesians 4:22-24; Philippians 4:8.*
3. **Sin in the Body**
The sin in the body is addressed through intentional acts of discipline, redirecting the body from its former pleasures to the service of God. This requires diligence and endurance as we must subdue our bodies through practices that train our appetites, such as fasting, prayer, and sacrifice. *Scriptural References: 1 Corinthians 9:27; Romans 6:12-13; Colossians 3:5.*
