WATER CRISIS IN MALOLE CONSTITUENCY.

This is one of the main water sources in Malole Constituency- Mungwi District Of Northern Province.
The stream is said to be the second biggest source of water in the area both for drinking and domestic use.

Comfirmed that the area has a population of about nineteen thousand four hundred and forty six (19,446).
Mr. KAZEMBA disclosed that the area has no clean and safe water for drinking except one borehole which is at the clinic and is not in good condition as the water comes out rusty.
He has therefore called on government to consider the people of Malole Constituency especially now that the Constituency Development Fund CDF has been increased.
Meanwhile, we also spoke to the area member of Parliament ROBERT KALIMI who said that the water issue in the area has been one of the most important projects in the Constituency and the Contractor has already been engaged.
Mr. KALIMI says all the 12 wards in the constituency will soon have clean and safe water.
He further says the issue would have been solved by now if not for the poor pathways for the drilling machines to reach the area.
The lawmaker tells us that the contractors will first start with the roads and later work on the water now that the rains have stopped.
We hope to see the works done as promised by Malole Constituency MP.
