THE HAIRCUT THAT TAUGHT EVERYONE A LESSON ABOUT KINDNESS ❤️✂️
It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon.
After attending church, Mr. Chabu Ng'andwe, the CEO of Epic CN Business, stopped by a local barbershop in Matero to freshen up before returning to church for the Youth Service scheduled for 14:00 Hours.
The barbershop was busy, but after patiently waiting, Mr. Chabu was finally next in line. Soon, it would be his turn.
Just as he was preparing to sit in the barber's chair, the door suddenly opened.
In walked Mr.Joe Kambole, the Top Manager at Young Phiroz General Dealers.
He looked worried.
He looked rushed.
He looked like a man racing against time.
After greeting everyone, he politely explained that he was on his way to the airport and that every minute mattered.
Looking around, he noticed that Mr. Chabu was next.
With humility and respect, he approached him and softly said:
"Boss Chabu, I know it's your turn, but I'm rushing to catch a flight. Would you mind allowing me to go before you?"
Everyone in the barbershop became quiet.
Some people expected Mr. Chabu to refuse. After all, he had waited his turn.
But without hesitation, Mr. Chabu smiled warmly and replied:
"My brother, go ahead. Your journey is important. I'll wait."
At that moment, something special happened.
The stress on Mr. Kambole's face disappeared.
His eyes lit up with gratitude.
He shook Mr. Chabu's hand and thanked him sincerely.
As he sat down for his haircut, many people in the barbershop couldn't stop talking about what they had just witnessed.
Here was a CEO who understood that leadership is not about position, status, or power.
It is about humility.
It is about compassion.
It is about putting people before yourself.
After his haircut, Mr. Kambole walked over to Mr. Chabu once more.
The two gentlemen shared a heartfelt conversation filled with laughter, respect, and appreciation.
For a few moments, the busy barbershop felt like a family gathering.
Before leaving for the airport, Mr. Kambole said:
"Today you have reminded me that true greatness is found in kindness.
Thank you for your humility."
Mr. Chabu simply smiled and replied:
"We rise by lifting others."
As Mr. Kambole headed to the airport and Mr. Chabu later returned to church for the Youth Service, everyone who witnessed that moment left with a lesson they would never forget.
Sometimes the biggest blessings come from the smallest acts of kindness.
A seat in a queue may seem small, but on that Sunday afternoon, it became a powerful reminder that respect, humility, and love for others will always leave a lasting impact.
❤️ Kindness costs nothing.
❤️ Humility is strength.
❤️ Great leaders serve others.
