π§ Sometimes the work we feel called to do is connected to the experiences that shaped us.
In this week's conversation on the Diary 101 Podcast, Akakandelwa Kandepwe asks Thandiwe Sokoni, an applied clinical psychologist, what inspired her to work with the people she serves today.
Thandiwe reflects on how our personal experiences, the challenges we notice around us, and the gaps we encounter can influence the careers and causes we eventually pursue.
It raises an interesting question about purpose: Do we choose the problems we solve, or do some problems keep showing up until we decide to do something about them?
Purpose doesn't always arrive as one big revelation. Sometimes it develops gradually as we pay attention to what matters to us, what we've experienced, and where we believe we can make a difference.
