Athletic Bilbao invited Palestinian refugees from the Basque Country onto the pitch before yesterday's match against Mallorca. They were the club's guests of honor, receiving a standing ovation from the San Mamés crowd.

Bilbao, in partnership with UNRWA, will also host free physical education classes at 16 UNRWA-run schools.

The project targets approximately 8,000 Palestinian refugee children in Syria.

The Athletic Foundation will cover the costs of recruiting physical education teachers for these schools. ❤️💚🫡

We have to find him a little bit more. But he’s more involved in the game, not just in the finishing. He’s more there with the ball. He works a lot, work ethic, pressing and going. I’m really pleased.

Pep Guardiola asked about Oscar Bobb’s performance: “Really good. Oscar played really good in the first 2-3 games, and defensively he’s a machine; helps us a lot, so smart.

In the final third, one-against-one he’s top with decisions. He played really, really good. I’m really pleased for the game he played.

We encourage him to be more incisive; he has to rely a lot one-against-one, one-against-two, in the final third. When he really goes, pfft, he creates big situations.

He made an incredible pass to Phil… People count shots on target, but when Phil shoots [around] the penalty spot but it goes out, for me it’s [still a] shot on target, right? A clear chance.

It was really well played in the first half. Really well defensively, offensively, in all the aspects. He’s a player that we trust a lot!”
