On spiritual father - son relationship;
Note that the core binding factor in a relationship between a spiritual father and son or daughter is SPIRITUALITY. No matter how else you relate, SPIRITUALITY must be at the center. The absence of this, nullifies spiritual fatherhood or sonship.
A father must be spiritual. The son or daughter must be spiritual. The father must of importance focus on teaching, nurturing, guiding and helping the son seeing to it that the son or daughter grows and makes destiny worthwhile as a responsibility. On the other hand, the son has obligations to be submissive, open to learning, receiving instructions and readiness to serve.
If either the father or the son/daughter are looking for sponsorship from eachother and not the above, then that relationship is not spiritual but transactional and abuse is inevitable or both sides. A time will come when one will complain of being used or taken advantage of.
Spiritual covering is a blessing when it serves it's purpose. Some of us standing today is because God was gracious enough to bring men and women genuine to serve that purpose.
We have been spared so many mistakes and escaped death traps because of the guidance we received from people Gid placed over us. We are doctrinaly sound and stable because we were fed well. The reason we can never fall victim to falsehood or perpetuate it ourselves is because of the foundation that was laid for us.
We can never make a mistake to discredit the importance of having the need to be fathered and taught diligently the word and the ways of God. Having taken up such responsibilities ourselves to those after us and learning from us only buttresses the value we have for this divine privilege.
In conclusion, a child may have great potential but that potential remains vulnerable in the absence of sound counsel and cover. Jesus Christ was conceived and born to be a savior of the entire human race, but at infancy, needed to be protected from those who sought to kill him. Born of the Holy Ghost still needed to be taught by those who had deeper understanding. Any man that is self taught, is a risk. Any man that is not accountable or answerable to anybody is a wreck.
Don't let the excitement that comes with supposed revelations and social media make you a law to yourself. Don't allow wrong templates and scandalous father figures tempt you to rubbish the need for a genuine one.
