PLANNING AHEAD TO AVOID CRISES
Dr Fred M'membe writes

We need to become a country that plans ahead. We need a leadership that thinks ahead. We can't always be reacting to crises.

This hunger we see today could have been avoided. We are an agricultural people.

But today, agriculture is the most neglected sector of our country. That is why we in the SP will prioritise agriculture because we know that it is essential to food security, that we can feed ourselves even in times of drought if we become a country that works and plans like a functioning state.

CADARISM STILL EXISTS EVEN THROUGH THE UPND GOVT CLAIMED IT FINISHED

If you think caderism ended then think again. Marketeers in Soweto market are not free to sell their hard labour earned goods as they are charged huge sums of money bigger than profits realized by the real owners of the goods by people claiming to be Agents (Caders). As per UPND manifesto it demands that provided marketeers pay a reasonable amount to the local council they are free to trade their goods without any intimidation or threat of being chased from these markets. President Hakainde Hichilema should look into the plight of these disadvantaged marketeers and control the situations there before the situation goes from worst to bad and people paint his name bad.
