SDA Church Leads “End It Now” Campaign in Mazabuka
Mazabuka, Zambia, On Sunday, 28 September 2025, the Rusangu Conference Women’s Ministries Department of the Seventh-day Adventist Church held an open-air “End It Now” campaign against gender-based violence in Mazabuka District.
The campaign featured a march-past through the town, followed by a sensitization program at St. Patrick’s Ground, where participants raised awareness about the harmful impact of gender-based violence on families and society.
The event drew wide participation from both church members and the local community, underscoring a strong joint commitment to ending the vice. It was officiated by Hon. Gary Nkombo, Member of Parliament for Mazabuka Central, who commended the church’s role in promoting social justice and community welfare.
Also in attendance were Pastor Gladwin Man’gwatu, President of Rusangu Conference, Dr. Prince Ng’andu, Executive Secretary, along with district pastors Paul Siantontola and China Thosi, among other church leaders.
Organizers described the campaign as part of the global Seventh-day Adventist initiative to confront and eliminate gender-based violence. The event highlighted the ongoing partnership between faith-based institutions and local communities in addressing social challenges.
