CHILENJE BUSINESSMAN CHRISTOPHER SALALA N’GUNI SUPPORTS MUYOOMA SCHOOL FEEDING PROGRAM

Chilenje-based businessman Christopher Salala N’guni has once again stepped up for the community.

Today, Mr. Salala donated (40) plates 1 bucket, (4) jar cups, and soya chunks to Muyooma School as part of his continued support for the school feeding program.

Pupils from Muyooma School thanked Mr. Christopher, saying the lack of plates had been one of the biggest challenges for the school. This will be a thing of the past now because Christopher Salala has made it easier for us, they said.

His donation is expected to make meal times smoother for learners and improve the overall feeding program at the school.

This is not the first time Christopher is donating to the community.
Timothy mwanakatwe school is one of the beneficiaries.
Christopher salala n'guni has told chilenje update that the journey to help the community will not end here he will continue to support the community in his little capacity.

Aspiring Kabwata MP Mainda Simataa Pledges to allocate K2 million CDF funds for development of Chilenje Community Ground Ultra Sports Facility

Aspiring Independent Member of Parliament for Kabwata Constituency, Mainda Simataa, has warned that if big community play grounds like that of Chilenje and others are not developed, one day, the people of Chilenje will wake up and find that the ground has been sold and someone has been given a title deed!

“I’ve seen these things happen with play parks during my time as Councillor, and even when I lived with my grandmother near Pa chi UNIP area and schooled at Chilenje B many years ago, there was an open ground nearby where we played, today there are houses”.

The aspiring Lawmaker was speaking when he toured the Chilenje community grounds with a group of local youths whom he assured that once voted into office as Kabwata MP on 13 August, he will allocate K2 million out of the CDF project fund to develop the ground into an ultra modern multi-sports facility housing a football field, basketball/netball, and a a racing track, as well as a community club for indoor games like pool, squash and chess games.

The aspiring MP says the model designs and budgets were already made with the Lusaka City Council’s Engineering Department when he was Ward Councillor for Kamwala Ward 5, when he wanted to build the first sports facility at Kamwala South secondary school, but his plans were frustrated and frozen by politicians who felt he would use the achievement to upgrade from Councillor to MP, which he is still determined to achieve in order to serve the people of Kabwata better.

Honorable Simataa says the project will employ 100 youths during development stage, and about 20 permanent jobs when it is completed in 3 months, and will be ready for the first Christmas tournament sponsored by himself.
