HEARTFELT APPEAL FOR HELP - K8,900 FOR SCHOOL FEES
Meet a 26-year-old lady from Garden, Lusaka.
Her story is painful. She lost her father at the age of 17 and remained with her mother, who was a marketeer. Despite having little, her mother struggled and managed to take her to University and paid 25% of her fees.
Tragedy struck again when her mother was involved in a serious road accident. Life became very hard. She started doing piece work just to find food for herself and her sick mother. Because her mother's condition became worse, her relatives came and took her mother to the village.
Left alone with no support and facing being chased from school over unpaid fees, she became desperate. To try and raise money for her fees, she found herself on the streets engaging in prostitution, but even that did not work out for her.
That is how she met a Good Samaritan woman at the hospital who took her in. She is currently staying with this woman in 9 Miles and the woman is taking care of her.
She now needs K8,900 to settle her outstanding school fees. If she fails to pay, she will not be accepted back to school and all her mother's sacrifices will be in vain.
She is not lazy, she is just a young girl whose life became hard after her mother's accident. She wants to go back to school and build a better future.
