NDOLA MAYOR ELECT CLLR KENNEDY KASABA AND KAFUBU WARD COUNCILLOR ELECT WILOMBE SIKAZWE RECEIVE THUNDEROUS WELCOME AT NDOLA MAIN UCZ CONGREGATION
Elect Cllr Kennedy Kasaba and Kafubu Ward Councillor elect Wilombe Sikazwe received a thunderous welcome when they attended a church service at Ndola Main UCZ Congregation.
The two newly elected leaders, who are members of the congregation, were introduced to the church members by the Minister in Charge, Rev. Stephen Nyirenda.
Their introduction was met with loud cheers and celebrations from the congregation, as members warmly welcomed and congratulated them on their election victories.
His Worship Cllr Kennedy Kasaba was accompanied by his wife, as Rev. Nyirenda extended the hand of fellowship to the couple. Members of the congregation also joined in extending the hand of fellowship to Cllr Kasaba, his wife and Councillor elect Wilombe Sikazwe in a show of unity, love and support.
Speaking during the occasion, Kafubu Ward Councillor-elect Wilombe Sikazwe appealed to the church to continue supporting him with prayers as he prepares to serve the people of Kafubu Ward.
Councillor elect Sikazwe said the support and prayers from the church were important to him, adding that he would need continued spiritual guidance as he takes on his new responsibilities.
He noted that a significant number of members of the Ndola Main UCZ Congregation come from Kafubu Ward, making the church an important part of the community he has been elected to serve.
Sikazwe further appealed to the congregation to continue putting him in their prayers, just as they did during the election campaign and after the elections.
Meanwhile, Ndola Mayor-elect Cllr Kennedy Kasaba thanked the congregation for the prayers, encouragement and support rendered to him throughout the campaign period and after the elections.
Cllr Kasaba stressed that his victory should not be viewed as his personal achievement, but as a victory belonging to all members of the congregation who supported him.
He expressed gratitude to God and the church for standing with him throughout the electoral journey.
The occasion turned into a joyous celebration, with Cllr Kasaba taking time to sing for the congregation as a gesture of appreciation to the church and to God for what he described as a successful journey.
The gathering provided an opportunity for the newly elected leaders to reconnect with their church family and reaffirm their commitment to serving the people with humility, unity and dedication.
