I've suffered over my over 3-yrs unpaid salaries at M*F - Internal Auditor ... and courts are also dragging their feet

Ministry of Finance and National Planning forensic internal auditor Grandy Ntumbo says he has suffered greatly over his over three years unpaid salaries at the Ministry, and has accused the Court of Appeal of dragging its feet to certify the assessment of his unpaid salaries.

Ntumbo said the court is dragging its feet to certify the assessment of his unpaid salaries, eight months after he filed in.

He said the High Court was also yet to make a final judgement on the main judicial review.

"For the High Court the hearing for the main judicial review was on 2 December 2025. It's now 6 months since. For the court of Appeal it's nine months since I filed for a certificate in keeping with section 21 of the state proceedings Act. I filed the initial application for judicial review with a certificate of urgency in September 2023," Ntumbo stated. "It's now 45 months no salary and the courts where we are supposed to run to for justice is dragging

I'M READY TO WORK WITH UPND - PF's CHARITY ... or anyone who sees value in me

Miles Sampa's PF faction acting national chairperson Charity Katongo Banda says she is ready to work with anyone who sees political value in her, including the UPND if they call on her.

And Banda said she does not see any sign of change in the country.

Speaking with Daily Revelation yesterday, Banda, a long time PF member, said she was a "stranded mother" as she did not have anyone to campaign for. She said those who thought she was useful should

Electorates were upset after I was left out, but I withdrew candidature to avoid splitting votes - Haguta

By Mubanga Mubanga

Ex-Kalomo Central constituency candidate Hyde Haguta says many of his supporters were disappointed with the way he was treated after UPND failed to pick him to stand despite him winning primary elections within the party.

Speaking in an interview with Daily Revelation on Friday, Haguta said no one coerced him to withdraw his candidature as an independent candidate. He said the decision was made in order not to split votes by ensuring that President Hakainde Hichilema gets 100 percent votes. He added that leadership was about making decisions that were in the broader interest of unity.

"Indeed, I emerged as the preferred candidate at the Primary; constituency, district, provincial and even national levels, and naturally many of my supporters felt disappointed and believed I had been treated unfairly. As such, a good number of them welcomed my decision to stand as an independent candidate,” Haguta said. "And my subsequent withdrawal

Nora back to lead Queens in 4-nation tourney

By Kalumiana Kalumiana

After three months of uncertainty, Zambia women's national team coach Nora Hauptle is back on the job this week for the FAZ 4- nations tournament to be held at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola during the June FIFA international window that opens today, June 1.

Hauptle returns to duty for the 4-nation friendly tournament Zambia is hosting between June 1-10 that will involve Lesotho, Zimbabwe and fellow 2026 WAFCON-bound team Kenya.

Fixtures were by press-time yesterday yet to be announced by FAZ, but Zambia's 29 member list of 18 home-based players is in camp in Ndola under local assistant trainer Charles Halubono awaiting Hauptle, who was due to arrive yesterday from Switzerland

Mpezeni would have loved a united Zambia in the midst of regression into tribal politics - Cifire

Former N'cwala Traditional Ceremony chairperson Angela Cifire says if the late paramount chief of the Ngoni people, Mpezeni, were president he would have loved the unity of all Zambians especially now when the country was going back to tribal politics.

And Cifire said Mpezeni was a chief for everybody and people must not be restricted in anyway when it comes to mourning him.

Cifire also jokingly said her tribal cousin, the paramount chief of the Bemba people, Chitimukulu, could probably only be considered for kingship in Ngoni land if he changed his rulership heritage from matrilineal to the patrilineal of the Ngonis.

Speaking with Daily Revelation yesterday, Cifire, who was the longest serving chairperson for the N'cwala Traditional Ceremony and a former health minister, said politics could not be ruled out from the funeral of Mpezeni as he was a king for everybody, but there was a way of mourning the late chief where people should not
