🚨Simataa tells ZESCO to Take Malasha Traders to Kabulonga Not Kamwala

Kamwala Ward Councilor Mainda Simataa has informed electricity provider company, ZESCO, to relocate Charcoal traders from Misisi to Kabulonga and not his ward Kamwala.

This comes after ZESCO revealed a plan to relocate over 2000 charcoal traders from its WAYLEAVE in Nkoloma Ward of Misisi Compound to its other WAYLEAVE in Kamwala.

In an Interview with journalists over the weekend, Mr Simatta stated that
ZESCO did not consult Lusaka City Council on the move to relocate the charcoal traders, which he described as a violation of his Ward boundaries and the right to peace and quiet enjoyed by residents of Kamwala.

Councillor Simataa has accused ZESCO of wanting to bring crime and confusion to the door steps of kamwala residents strongly stating that he will not allow the relocation.

He adds that the plan to relocate the traders has serious security and health implications, Emphasing that the traders will not just move with their bags of charcoal, but that the junkies and kachasu breweries who thrive on them will also follow.

“Crime and open defacation in plastics will also follow, bringing cholera, chaos and confusion to a relatively clean and safe community" Said Simatta.

"I will deliver a written petition to the ZESCO MD on Monday with 1000 signatures to oppose this move - the people of Kamwala have as much rights as the people of Kabulonga, and we will not accept a move that will bring criminal activity to our door-step. We sympathize with the Malasha traders, but we simply do not have space to accommodate them, maybe ZESCO can find them space in Kabulonga” said Councillor Simataa".

🚨Do it like Rwanda - Simataa

Kamwala Ward Councilor Mainda Simataa has advised Lusaka residents to adopt ways from Rwanda on how to make the capital a clean and green garden city.

Speaking during the Launch of a clean up exercise in Lusaka's CBD organized by Clean Cities initiative, Councilor Simataa says there is need to copy best practices from Rwanda on cleanliness in order to achieve the status of a clean, green and healthy city like Kigali of Rwanda.

Mr Simataa says the only difference between Lusaka and Kigali in terms of cleanliness, is that Public Health Laws in Rwanda are religiously observed by all, and enforced with military discipline.

“The cleanliness we see in other cities did not happen by accident, citizens there have taken up the responsibility for their own health, but here, when you invite people for a clean-up, they feel like its a punishment. In as much as we need to build more capacity for our waste management systems and companies, cleanliness should start in our minds, in our homes and business places,” said Councillor Simataa.

🚨Congratulations Dizzo

All in 1 Tv would love to express congratulatory remarks to Zambia's female footballer Saliya Mwanza also known as Dizzo for her outstanding performance in yesterday's semifinal match against Botswana at the ongoing 2025 COSAFA Under 20 Women's Region 5 Youth Games.

Dizzo was awarded player of the match after displaying her exemplary footballing skills on the pitch and scoring an extraordinary goal in the 48th min of the match.

A total of 5 goals, 2 from Bwalya Chileshe and 1 each from Ruth Mukoma, Saliya Mwanza and Ruth Muwowo led Zambia to the final of the competition in which they will face South Africa who beat Nambia 1 nil.

🚨Over k90 Million Disbursed to Farmers in Lusaka Province

The Lusaka Provincial Administration has revealed through a press Statement that over k90 Million has been disbursed to farmers across the Province.

Provincial Principle Public Relations officer Logic Lukwanda says the disbursement of funds is under the Sustainable Agriculture Financing Facility (SAFF).

🚨Soilders Deployment to Illegal Mining Areas Approved

The Zambian Cabinet has approved deployment of Defense and security personal to areas infiltrated with illegal mining activities.

Chief Government spokesperson Cornelius Mweetwa through a press Statement says this decision comes after an increase in illegal mining of minerals such as Gold, Manganese, Copper, Sugilite, Tin and Lithium was observed by Cabinet.

Mr Mweetwa says the illegal mining activities have resulted in the proliferation of other illegal activities such as smuggling minerals from Zambia, pollution of the environment as well as the influx of foreign nationals in the country.

🚨CAF Unveils new WAFCON Trophy

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) have officially unveiled the new Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) Trophy.

The highly anticipated and delayed competition begins on July 5, 2025 to July 26, 2025 in Morocco.

Teams participating at the 2024 WAFCON include Algeria, Botswana, DR Congo, Ghana, Mali, Morocco, Nigeria, Senegal, South Africa, Tanzania, Tunisia and Zambia.

Zambia's Cooper Queens are set to face hosts Morocco in the opening match.

The Winner of the competition will walk away with $1 Million while the Runner up with $500K respectively.

🚨Zambia Bags 26% Shares in Angola's Lobito Oil refinery

Zambia has acquired 26 percent shares in Angola’s Lobito Oil Refinery.

According to various sources, this significant milestone means Zambia will get a direct supply source of fuel which will reduce import costs and dependency.

It also means the country will gain negotiation leverage over pricing, supply timelines and delivery schedules of oil.

Sources add that the Angola Lobito Oil refinery project is tied to the Lobito Corridor, including rail and port access via the Lobito Lusaka pipeline slated to run 1,400 km, facilitating delivery of refined products into Zambia by 2026 to 2028.

The pipeline is aimed at delivering petrol, diesel and Jet fuel directly into Zambia.

The Angola Oil refinery, is expected to begin operations by 2026, with a capacity to refine 200,000 barrels per day.
