A Copperbelt University School Of Business Scholar Writes: Zambia Needs to Adjust to the New Normal.

In times like these Ones When the Fishes in Sea have gone in the deeper waters, the Zambian Eagle must be vigilant and exploitive to every single opportunity that rises from the environment for its survival.

Our Nation is currently living under very tough economic conditions. The economy is on the verge of collapsing as Our Zambian Kwacha is rapidly depreciating against the Global Currency.

While there is COVID19 which has contributed to the fall of our Economy, I would agree with Magande and Mutati that some of the contributing factors are Man-Made Poor economic Policies.

As Zambia we need to be strong and be resilient to the current dynamism, therefore to the policy decision makers, all strategic economic decisions during this period of Zambia seeking a quick economic redemption, we urge that Let such decisions be Tactical.

In this year of Bumper Harvest, Government should consider allowing Zambian Farmers to export alot of Maize to Congo at very expensive Prices so that we will receive Money from exports to help stabilize our already depreciating Kwacha. Foreign Investors who are into Commercial Maize Production should Not be allowed to export Maize but they should trade their harvests to the Food Reserve Agency at a Normal Price which should be regulated by Government as per Inflation rate putting into consideration the cost of production during the 2019/2020 Farming Season.

At this time when there is abundance of a Gold Mineral in Mwinilunga, Government should consider through a State Owned Company accelerate the commencement of mining that prestigious mineral so that we can export more of it and have some of it reserved in the Bank of Zambia in the near future as this will accelerate the rapid strengthening of our National Currency.

Expensive mealie meal prices are now a New Normal and we should Never expect them to drop to where they were before, we need to take it as a new normal and adjust, However for this to be Manageable, It falls on the Eagle's ability to continue creating an enabling environment for its offsprings through the above and cutting debt contraction immediately.

Zambia will Rise and Direct Foreign Investment confidence will be restored and our Economy shall be great!
