6 year old child witnesses mother killing his father
A 6-YEAR-OLD boy of Lusaka’s Apollo Military Camp was yesterday subjected to the worst trauma for a child after he became a witness to the killing of his father who was murdered by the mother during a marital disputes.
This tragic incident comes barely 24 hours after another man in Lusaka killed his wife by strangling her with an adapter cable and later stabbing her stomach, before committing su***de.
According to police reports this afternoon, Winston Mulenga Kabaso, 48, a civilian employee was involved in a violent altercation yesternight.
This is according to the information that police managed to get from the couple’s six year-old son who witnessed the incident.
After Mulenga was killed, his body was drugged and dumped along a road which led to the old camp.
However, the trail of blood gave away where the body was dumped as blood droplets were visible seen from the house to the scene.
In the early morning of today, Mulenga's workmates were awakened to a devastating shock as they found his lifeless body.
The workmates investigated the dead body to see if they could identify the body and they discovered that it was their colleague, Mulenga around 05:00 hours.
They later reported the incident to Marcopolo Police Post and upon filling the report, police officers rushed to the scene and confirmed the murder.
Investigations by police indicated that Mulenga exhibited injuries including a cut on the right side of the face, a depressed forehead, and swelling on the back, indicating that a very violent altercation occurred.
Also, the officers followed the blood droplets which led them to the deceased’s home. There, his wife and the couple's six-year-old son were found.
And upon searching the house, officers discovered blood stains on the passage door frame, the kitchen door mat (which was found on the roof), and a pounding stick with blood stains.
Police Spokesperson Rae Hamoonga who confirmed the incident added that the couples child also helped with the investigations as he revealed that he witnessed his parents having a fight.
“As a result of the gathered evidence and testimonies, Agness Mulebi, the wife of the deceased, has been detained in police lawful custody on suspicion of murder,” said Hamoonga.
